This 3 Hour tour takes you off road up steep mining trails to vista views, teaches you about the local history, and geological formations near Denali National Park in an adventurous off road Fat Truck search & rescue vehicle. (Plan on about 3.5-4 hours if using the the hotel shuttle service from select hotels during the summer season)

Turn onto Otto Lake Road from mile 247 of the Parks Hwy (Hwy 3). Follow Otto Lake Rd for 1.2 miles staying on the paved road, turn Right onto Pioneer Road (gravel road), turn right into Parking lot at Denali Fat Truck Tours. Some Maps have not updated the road names posted on signs yet.

Awesome Experience - A Must Do!!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE — A MUST-DO IN DENALI! If you’re coming to Denali, Denali Fat Truck Tours needs to be at the TOP of your list. This was easily one of the highlights of our entire Alaska trip and an experience we’ll be talking about for a long time. The Fat Truck itself is AWESOME. It takes you places you’d never be able to experience in a normal vehicle, and the scenery was absolutely spectacular. This isn’t one of those tours where you just sit in a vehicle and look out the window — it feels like a real Alaskan adventure from beginning to end. But what truly made the experience exceptional was our driver and guide, Tim. Tim was FANTASTIC. He was knowledgeable, funny, personable, and genuinely excited to share Alaska and the Denali area with us. He made everyone feel comfortable, kept the trip entertaining, and knew exactly how to make the experience special. You can tell immediately that he loves what he does, and that enthusiasm is contagious. We’ve done a lot of tours while traveling, and the guide can make or break the experience. Tim absolutely MADE this one. By the end, it felt less like we had spent the day with a tour guide and more like we had gone exploring Alaska with a friend who happened to know all the best places. The combination of the incredible Fat Truck, beautiful Alaskan wilderness, adventure, scenery, and an outstanding guide made this a true 10/10 experience. If you’re debating whether to book it — DO IT. And if you have the opportunity to request Tim, REQUEST HIM! Thank you, Tim and Denali Fat Truck Tours, for giving us one of our favorite memories from Alaska. We would do it again in a heartbeat! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars aren’t enough!

Wonderful time on the Sherp. Guide was good and learned a lot. Saw moose. They even provided a free video afterwards.

Great Family Experience!
My family and I had a great time on the 3 hour SHERP Fat Truck Tour. My kids are 8, 10 and 12 years old. It was a very unique, cool experience. We saw cool landscapes, learned about the land/animals and the drivers knew a lot about local wildlife and rocks. You’re able to get to places you wouldn’t get to on your own. And we got a drone video of our experience! Highly recommend!

A must do excursion in Denali
Wow! Don't miss this, what a fun time with so much information and beauty. The SHERP is an awesome vehicle and can do so much. I loved going into the water. The transportation from our hotel was flawless and our driver was great. One of my favorite features was the wonderful video they made and sent to us. An incredible keepsake! The drivers offered to take our picture so many times too. Take this tour, you won't regret it.

One of the most enjoyable land excursions my wife and I have ever book. Our guide, the owner, was outstanding and extremely knowledgable. Sherp's were well maintained and in excellent running condition. The back roads they took us on were breathtaking. Given the opportunity to take part in Fat Trucks excursions, it is well worth you time and money.
