    Great for Team Celebrations too!

Took my team on a boat tour at the end of the quarter, they loved it! It was a fun and different way to celebrate other than a catered lunch at the office!

Response from the operator: Hi Desiree! Thanks for the review and for getting everyone out of the office! We’re so happy you guys had a great time and we hope to see you again soon!

    Family Boat Adventure!

We had such an amazing time on Lake Travis thanks to Willo and Float On. Everything about the experience was extremely streamlined from booking to filling out waivers to navigating to the marina. Willo gave superb instructions on operating and piloting the boat including an overview of relevant customs and laws while out on the water. Our group had six adults and one 2-year old and they had plenty of water safety devices for all ages. On a side note, it was wonderful to see how genuinely excited Willo was about Lake Travis once again having a healthy water level after several dry years. In terms of our experience on the lake, we got excellent advice on where to travel based on our team's interests and after following his directions it felt like we had arrived on our own private lake. We probably only saw a handful of other boats during our 3-hour excursion and that was only in passing. The boat came with a Garmin GPS that made it really easy to retrace our steps. For those wondering, there was excellent cell phone service out on the lake and we were able to use our phone GPS, make calls, and stream music. The boat had some nice integrated speakers with Bluetooth connectivity and we were able to jam out to our own tunes. There was also a cool flotation device attached to the back of the boat called the Aqua Lily Pad which we unrolled after anchoring, we had multiple adults laying on it without sinking into the lake. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience and we would highly recommend booking with Float On.

Response from the operator: Hello! Thank you for the review! We're happy to hear you had an amazing time on the lake with us! Hope to see you again!

We had an amazing boat ride on Lake Travis with a few friends to share a memorable family milestone. The boat was super clean and comfortable, much more so than I expected—more like a luxury cruise! All the amenities you’d want were available. Captain Jared was super accommodating and customized the trip for exactly what we wanted making it truly a special occasion for us. A lovely and memorable trip!

    Best Captains on Lake Travis

Another great afternoon on the lake. Captain Servando was awesome and knew all the good places for us to spend our day at. Will only ever book with Float On! Convenient access to their marina and they do all the heavy lifting. Bonus yeti coolers on each boat. Overall 10/10

Response from the operator: Hello! Thank you for the review!! We're SO happy to hear you had a great time on the lake with us! Hope to see you again!

3 Hour Private Boat Charter on Lake Travis for up to 12 People: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Austin.

How much does 3 Hour Private Boat Charter on Lake Travis for up to 12 People cost?

    +

Prices start at $540 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Austin usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 3 Hour Private Boat Charter on Lake Travis for up to 12 People take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Austin is not rushed.

Is 3 Hour Private Boat Charter on Lake Travis for up to 12 People worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 38 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Austin, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Hour Private Boat Charter on Lake Travis for up to 12 People?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3 Hour Private Boat Charter on Lake Travis for up to 12 People suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 3 Hour Private Boat Charter on Lake Travis for up to 12 People?

    +

Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Austin can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Austin and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3 Hour Private Boat Charter on Lake Travis for up to 12 People start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Austin within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Austin?

    +

Austin's activity list runs on food and water: barbecue crawls to the pits that sell out by noon, Lady Bird Lake kayaking under the Congress Avenue bat colony, live music walks on Rainey and Red River, and Hill Country wine and distillery runs. We weight timing detail in the ranking, because a barbecue tour that arrives after the brisket is gone is a different product entirely. On Outty we rank every Austin experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include From Austin: Hill Country BBQ & Wine Shuttle, Best of Austin Small-Group Driving Tour with Local Guide, The Escape Game: Epic 60-Minute Adventures in Downtown Austin. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Austin?

    +

March to May and October to November, avoiding the triple-digit summer. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Austin?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
