Must Do in Delhi!!

We had a wonderful time exploring the beginnings of Delhi with our private guide, Jai Singh! He provided excellent information on the people who influenced the beginnings of Delhi. He provided great context in a beautiful and peaceful part of Delhi!! We did not see any other tourists, during our stroll through the park. This is an off-the-beaten-path Must Do!!!

Treasure trove of history, delighting history and mystery buffs with ruins, creepy forests and graveyards

The most awesome and incredible experience in the heritage corners of Delhi. We explored a lot of ruins hidden among creepy forests and broken fort walls, and it was a quite hike with a couple of miles. Dense greenery and our excitement never allowed us to get tired. This is a treasure house of history, where the broken forts, tombs, walls call out to the visitors. The historian guide had a lot of tales of valour of the kingdoms of the past which left behind a trail of ruins to be discovered by the visitors later. .

Mr Singh was very...

Mr Singh was very thorough and detailed with the historical details provided on the tour. He was willing to engage in productive debate over certain narratives, and we had a lot of fun chatting with him as we walked around the Mehrauli park. This is a must-see spot if you want to get a sense of history of Delhi as the site of several political capitals, with the Mehruali area being among the first. At the end of the tour, Mr Singh even made sure we got a rickshaw back to our destination. Note: If you are on a foreign passport, entrance tickets are much more expensive and not covered by the tour tickets.

Response from the operator: Dear Avanti and Andrew It was an honour to be at your service. Many thanks for the kind words of appreciation and time taken to post the review. Even i enjoyed sharing the views with you, and i have carefully noted your valuable advice on certain narratives. It was an honour to serve such a learned clientele. 3-Hour Mehrauli Archaeological Park Ruins Walking Tour Delhi: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.

How much does 3-Hour Mehrauli Archaeological Park Ruins Walking Tour Delhi cost?

+

Prices start at $11 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 3-Hour Mehrauli Archaeological Park Ruins Walking Tour Delhi take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.

Is 3-Hour Mehrauli Archaeological Park Ruins Walking Tour Delhi worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 3-Hour Mehrauli Archaeological Park Ruins Walking Tour Delhi?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 3-Hour Mehrauli Archaeological Park Ruins Walking Tour Delhi suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 3-Hour Mehrauli Archaeological Park Ruins Walking Tour Delhi?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 3-Hour Mehrauli Archaeological Park Ruins Walking Tour Delhi start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New Delhi?

+

On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New Delhi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New Delhi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
