Great Trip! Saw Fish Caught Fish!
We got more than we expected from this three hour trip. Timing is everything when touring from a cruise ship and we were lucky. Our guide Jacob drove us a few miles outside Juneau where a small creek meets the ocean. The pink salmon run was in full swing and it was amazing to see them in real life and not a National Geographic video! We fished for a while from the beach targeting silver salmon with no luck and then moved to the creek mouth and caught the pink salmon as tide rolled in. Tons of eagles to see feeding on the salmon were a bonus.

Best Fishing in Juneau
Dan is the man. Met us right off the ship, took us and another couple down the road where he knew the salmon would be running. He knew what lures to use, gave us some tips on how to catch salmon and we had a blast.

Awesome fishing trip
You do not need to be an expert fisherman to enjoy this!! Our guide was Dan! He was so knowledgeable and patient with us! He knew how badly we wanted to catch fish and took us to a spot and would not let us leave until we got one!! I highly recommend this company, their communication is amazing! There was nothing to be nervous about... They were easy to find when we got off of the ship and they brought us right back in plenty of time! Save your money and don't book through the cruise line!

AAC Rocks!
Look no further! This is exactly what I was looking for. Super convenient for Cruise passengers. The guide met us in front of our Holland America ship with just two other anglers. A quick 4 minute drive downstream and we were fishing in minutes. Our guide was immensely helpful and informative. The Coho were late in the season for us but we quickly focused on Pink Salmon. The action was constant. Returned us back on time. Well done Nick and AAC!

Great family activity
We made a last minute decision to try and go fishing with our sons (aged 12 and 10) on a layover in Juneau. Booking was easy. Jake was great - patient and instructional - with 4 non-experienced fishers. Everyone caught something. They have all the needed gear from waders to rods to fish from the shore line. Great way to spend the afternoon.

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
3 Hour guided Fishing Experience/class in Juneau: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Juneau.
How much does 3 Hour guided Fishing Experience/class in Juneau cost?
+
Prices start at $225 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Juneau usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3 Hour guided Fishing Experience/class in Juneau take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Juneau is not rushed.
Is 3 Hour guided Fishing Experience/class in Juneau worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 180 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Juneau, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Hour guided Fishing Experience/class in Juneau?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3 Hour guided Fishing Experience/class in Juneau suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 3 Hour guided Fishing Experience/class in Juneau?
+
Around 63 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Juneau can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Juneau and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3 Hour guided Fishing Experience/class in Juneau start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Juneau within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Juneau?
+
Juneau runs Mendenhall Glacier trips, whale watching in Auke Bay, helicopter glacier landings with dog sledding, and rainforest hikes. Most tours are timed to cruise ship windows, so we weight clear duration and pickup detail. On Outty we rank every Juneau experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Juneau Wildlife Whale Watching, Juneau Wildlife Whale Watching & Mendenhall Glacier, Mendenhall Glacier Lake Canoe Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Juneau?
+
May to September, peaking for humpbacks in June and July. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Juneau?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
