Fantastic Silk Village Experience in Hoi An

This was a fantastic experience. There are quite a few guides, and when I went at least it turned out to be an individual tour. Tour is not the right word for this - it is a full hands-on information and interactive experience. You will not only learn a lot, but have hand-on training of using the different looms, spinning bobbins, weaving, extracting the silk from cocoons, feeding and handling the silkworms. The girls that was tge guide took a lot of photos etc and sent them to me vis WhatsApp. At the end of the tour Thee is a fun test to see if you can tell 100% silk - they also give you valuable guidance at to how tell the difference between silk, 50%silk 50% cotton and 50%silk50%polyester. This tour is highly recommended !!

Interesting tour, but needs some improvements.

Very interesting tour & definitely learnt all about the silk production process & history. An easy morning experience. Quite expensive compared to other tours vs the experience. Lunch was delicious, but should be an optional add on. Wonderful customer service, all very friendly. English was at times very hard to understand, but every effort was made to communicate clearly. Departure was confusing, due to communication challenges. The cabs outside are not great. The driver had the address, but took me 3/4 of the way to my hotel, not too sure why. A pick up, drop off service would be a great addition to this tour! Also, just a side note - I thought this was a group tour, it’s not.
