Perfect combo
Exceeded out expectations! The family enjoyed all 3 experiences - Dreamworld, Skypoint and White Water. We paid extra to add breakfast to the Skypoint trip and enjoyed the fabuous views. It was a very hot day at White Water and the pools were great to cool down. The queues were pretty good. The service at all 3 venues was excellent.

Best pick for whole family, shade, varied ride intensity, and theming :)
For families trying to make the decision between Movieworld and Dreamworld - this is definitely the better park for kids in the mid-lower age range or who aren't keen on thrill coasters. We were travelling with 3 adults 1 of whom was not as keen on big rollercoasters and we found Jungle rush a great mid-thrill ride, enjoyed Murrisippi motors but thought maybe there should have been a 'spotting' challenge to enhance the experience for adult drivers with some hidden props (i.e spot 2 snakes, a bird, etc). We also liked Dreamworld Flyers which was gentle but still fun and had amazing theming with the water fountains, as well as the 4D flying theatre which was a great break from the heat. There was much more for us to do as a group at Dreamworld, and with more time we think Shockwave and Serpent Slayer mild style would have also been appropriate for mid-thrill seekers! We were overall impressed by the queue set up and seating comparative to movieworld - there was often well thought out, shaded seating for parents/others waiting for people in their group to do rides. From what I could see every single ride has a shaded queue with fans, which was much appreciated. The new Bilby area was also really cool, as was the nocturnal animals area! The 2 thrill seekers of us got a 3 (actually 5) day pass and this was definitely worth it as we were happy to reride rides multiple times. We were also there for the night markets which was cool! The calming cottage was also really useful for a sensory reset. Now, the downsides/room for improvements: Our group had accessibility needs and Dreamworld does have a queue proxy system. It was very easy to get a proxy and a card stating what rides we could go on (in our case, all), but we found the proxy system to be worse than Movieworld. The use of a card to write down a return ride time seemed clunky and to slow down operaters, and there was also confusion at times about if we were asking for a return time or ready to go on the ride, and often resulted in delays getting on the ride. We really hope this is just a new staff/training issue which will improve over time, as when staff were on top of proxy's the system worked quite ok. However, if you are someone who needs a proxy due to standing/waiting time please know that dependent on busyness of the park, jungle rush will have 2 groups waiting to board on the platform and steel taipan 3 groups. This means that even with a queue proxy you may have to wait 15-20min to board the ride. For members of our group who had difficulty standing for a long time this was a much worse experience than Movieworld where there was only ever 1 group waiting. The queue area of jungle rush, while it had great theming, was loud and dark and could be overwhelming for people with different sensory needs and it might be good to prepare people more for this. For Dreamworld next steps re rides: I am really looking forward to king claw opening! The quality of your theming throughout the park is great - definitely keep doing what you are doing. Motocoaster would definitely benefit from a revamp or replacement with a new intamin tyre launch coaster, and more theming to bring it up to the standard of jet rescue at Sea World which was much smoother and felt faster with the 2nd launch. Kenny's forest flyers are also bumpy and would benefit from a replacement with a new mid range vekoma kiddie coaster :) I think something more tame than the flight of wicked witch at Movieworld - I found this to be intense even as an adult. Finally, a new flat ride of some kind would be great addition in the space where the old wave flip ride was. I think if you upgraded these coasters with good theming and 1 more flat ride this would really complete the park, but overall I really enjoy the family friendly offerings and different experiences compared to Movieworld. Even having paddle boats or something on your river would be really cool. If you just want thrill coasters, go to Movieworld, but if you want a whole experience which is a bit more varied with very quality theming, definitely consider going to Dreamworld instead :)

Great value for our family of 5!
Great value for our family of 5. Kids aged 3,7 and 8. We weren’t sure which rides would be suitable at dreamworld but the older two were able to go on heaps of the roller coasters and 8 year old even went on the giant drop! Really well appointed and organised park. Water water world was great fun too. Heaps to do and a lot of fun. Skypoint was also a nice activity while having a more chill day in surfers after a busy few days at the parks. We even popped back into dreamworld after our water park day which was fun!

More technical issues than a boeing 747
Such a shame to have wasted pretty much half a day waiting around for rides to open after being closed with technical faults. We arrived at the park and headed straight for the sky Voyager ride as this is right by the entrance. The ride said a 30 minute wait so we went inside and queued up. An hour later we were still in the queue to then be told that they were technical faults and the ride had been closed and was expected to open soon. We were torn as to whether to leave or to stay as we had already invested so much time. We ended up waiting in this line for an hour and a half, but eventually got on the ride, which was great. We then headed down to the new riverside area to go on the jungle Rush rollercoaster. As we queued up, we were advised that the ride had now closed and the area was being evacuated. We hadn’t queued too long so weren’t too disappointed and went on a few other rides. We returned back to the ride about an hour later, queued up again for another 45 minutes and got to the front of the queue about to get on the ride to be told it was closing again with all riders evacuated. We did ask why this time and apparently there was a fault on one of the exit gates which meant that the ride shut down in case there were people wandering around on the tracks. They said this was a constant issue with the ride. By this point it was late into the afternoon and they said it was unlikely that the ride would open again before closing. We are heading to the waterpark the following day so thought we would come back to this park first and do this ride. The next day we got to the ride and were given some fast passes because of the issues the previous day. You can’t make it up but we got to the front of the queue and the ride closed again. This time it closed for the whole day so we missed out on this coaster. Come on dreamworld, pull yourself together and keep your paying customers happy. We have been to universal in the US several times and never had issues with the rides like this. I understand they are shut for safety reasons but there aren’t a whole lot of rides to go on as the park is quite small so when one of the best rides close it’s very disappointing.

Do not think I would waste my money going back
Took the family and extended family to goldcoast for a holiday in may 2021 bought 8 tickets to visit movie world sea world and wet and wild .never been so disappointed in my life kids had a terrible 12 months with COVID my nephew came to live with us in February this year and he had never been on a holiday so he was super excited to go I have been to the theme parks with my kids on 3 numerous occasions and it has been amazing but this time was absolutely terrible a lot of the rides were not open it cost me 1200 dollars just for the theme park tickets daughter and nephew went to wet and wild with there 4 children and were only there for 2 hours as there was only a couple of things opened I didn’t bother to take the other 3 kids as it was a waste of time feeling vey annoyed and disappointed
