The views were beautiful...
The views were beautiful and we enjoyed the scenery, however, the itinerary was completely different than what was described. The itinerary highlighted culture immersion and intensive activities. This was more of an inclined walk that we completed in half the time. In addition, the itinerary mentioned that we would interact with locals and learn about the local culture, however we often showed up and didn’t have any activities and kept ourselves entertained. Our car also broke down on the way and food was selected for us without our input. We found everyone to be really nice, but we were looking for a type of tour that we really got to know the culture, speak with the people, and interact. This tour could be great for those that want to relax and get their body moving, but if your thirsty for education, I would select something else.

Hike to Mai Chau Pu Luong
We had a fantastic hiking experience in the Pu Luong Nature Reserve with Bamboo Adventures Vietnam. Jack, our guide, was polite and very informative. Our expectations for the accommodation, food and car transfer were exceeded. Thank you very much and highly recommended.

Mai Chau 1 Day trip from Hanoi
We had one free day in Hanoi during our trip in Vietnam and we booked a day trip to Mai Chau with Bamboo Adventures Vietnam. The natural splendor of Mai Chau was amazing, with vivid rice fields and beautiful limestone mountains making a breathtaking panorama. Our knowledgeable tour guide, Ivan, offered interesting stories with us, enriching our trip. The highlight was meeting members of the local White Thai community. Visiting their houses provided an authentic glimpse into their lives, and despite the language barrier, our children formed relationships. The local cuisine offered was a delectable voyage through Vietnamese flavors. Biking around the villages was a leisurely pleasure, providing views into rural life and showing the beautiful surroundings. Our Mai Chau vacation provided us with priceless family moments as well as a deeper cultural appreciation. Thank you and highly recommend!

Fabulous adventure
This was our second trip to the mountainous areas in Northern Vietnam. We chose Pu Luong to see the heritage rice terraces and hike from villages to villages. The tour was well organized from the first to the last day. Guide Tuan was very caring, knowledgeable and had an amazing hiking skill.

Trekking Mai Chau and Pu Luong 3 days
The trip was so interesting and one of our best experiences after coming back to Vietnam. Though Pu Luong is not fully-beautiful because it is now out of rice season, but we really had a great chance to explore the people and natural surroundings of this heavenly paradise. We will come back again in the summer when there is rice for more photo opportunities. Thank you Bamboo Adventures for this perfect trip.

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
3-Day Trekking In Pu Luong Nature Reserve Private Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does 3-Day Trekking In Pu Luong Nature Reserve Private Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $145 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3-Day Trekking In Pu Luong Nature Reserve Private Tour take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is 3-Day Trekking In Pu Luong Nature Reserve Private Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3-Day Trekking In Pu Luong Nature Reserve Private Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3-Day Trekking In Pu Luong Nature Reserve Private Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 3-Day Trekking In Pu Luong Nature Reserve Private Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3-Day Trekking In Pu Luong Nature Reserve Private Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
