Don't doubt....Just book it. You won't be disappointed!
This 3 day tour was truly a wonderful experience. From the beginning to the end of the trip, every detail was taken care of. I can't praise our tour guide Chris enough.....he is a true asset for the company Bokbus. Chris was so accommodating, kind and pleasant. Full of interesting stories during the ride about the culture, the history of Africa the animals, nature and other facts. He is allround extremely knowledgeable! When one of the group members became ill during the trip, he went out of his way to accommodate her, purchased some meds and kept checking on her! The Garden Route Game Lodge was absolutely stunning, with carefully kept grounds, a bird trail, 2 heated pools, bar, wonderful restaurant and very friendly staff. I had a chalet with terrace overlooking the nature. The interior design was gorgeous and very tasteful. The welcome letter in the room with weather forecast, turn down service, Nespresso machine with cups and local made luxury bathroom amenities from Healing Earth in glass bottles were a very nice touch and much appreciated. Wish I could have stayed for a few more nights at this beautiful Lodge. I forgot the name of our safari tour guide, but he was wonderful as well and gave us lots of interesting information on the animals. On the evening tour we were very lucky to encounter the Big 5 and the next morning, we again saw plenty of other animals again as well. Since I was there in the month of June (start of winter) the evening and especially the morning Safari were quite chilly, so a coat and even some thin gloves came in handy. During the day it was nice and sunny and just a jeans/thin pullover were sufficient. I definitely recommend this 3-day tour!

Best Tour Ever!
I highly recommend this tour! It was wonderful to discover so many different places with a small group of travelers from all over the world. This was definitely the best way to see the surrounding sites near Cape Town and I would totally book it again if I had the chance to. Plus, Chris, the tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, reliable and, I should also add, patient with everyone ;)

Must-do when in South Africa
This was an incredible three-day tour with a fabulous guide Mawandeyengwa. He shared so much information and was the epitome of a fantastic host. The weather wasn’t great on day 2, but the game reserve chalet all but made up for it. I will never forget this trip.
Response from the operator: Dear Valued Customer Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear that your 3-day tour was such an incredible experience. It's fantastic to know that Mawandeyengwa's knowledge, warm hospitality, and passion for sharing South Africa helped make your journey so memorable. We'll be sure to pass your kind words on to him. While we're sorry the weather wasn't ideal on the second day, we're so pleased that your stay at the Garden Route Game Lodge more than made up for it. Sometimes even a rainy day can't take away from the beauty of the experience and the memories made. Thank you for choosing to travel with BokBus and for your heartfelt recommendation. Knowing that this is a trip you'll never forget is the greatest compliment we could receive, and we hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable South African adventure in the future. Great Tour, excellent Guide, beautiful Lodge
We recently completed a wonderful three-day tour along the Garden Route, including Hermanus and Betty’s Bay, and overall it was a very enjoyable experience. Everything was very nice, and we especially loved the lodge. It is a beautiful facility with a great atmosphere, and we felt very comfortable there from the moment we arrived. The two game drives were a real highlight. It was fascinating to see the animals up close and learn more about them — a truly memorable and interesting experience. Throughout the trip, we also had the opportunity to learn a lot from our driver and tour guide, Mawange. He took very good care of us, was always friendly and attentive, and shared many interesting insights along the way. We would like to warmly thank him for his excellent support and for making the tour so pleasant. We also met very nice people from many different countries in our group and had a lot of fun together, which made the experience even more special. One small note: the tour was conducted in the reverse order of the original itinerary, which caused a slight delay on the first day. It would have been nice to follow the planned schedule, but overall this did not affect our very positive impression. In summary, it was a very nice tour with great experiences, a wonderful lodge, and excellent guidance. We can definitely recommend it.
Response from the operator: Dear Valued Customer Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed review! We're so pleased to hear you had such an enjoyable Garden Route experience. It's wonderful that you enjoyed the lodge, the game drives, and the chance to meet fellow travellers from around the world. We also appreciate your feedback about the itinerary running in reverse and the slight delay on the first day. Thank you for your understanding, and we're glad it didn't take away from your overall experience. Thank you for your recommendation. We hope to welcome you back for another South African adventure in the future! Regards The Bokbus Team

Why this scores 72
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
3 Day Safari and Coastal Tour from Cape Town: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.
How much does 3 Day Safari and Coastal Tour from Cape Town cost?
+
Prices start at $11570 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3 Day Safari and Coastal Tour from Cape Town take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.
Is 3 Day Safari and Coastal Tour from Cape Town worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Day Safari and Coastal Tour from Cape Town?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3 Day Safari and Coastal Tour from Cape Town suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 72-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 3 Day Safari and Coastal Tour from Cape Town?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3 Day Safari and Coastal Tour from Cape Town start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cape Town?
+
On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Penguins Day Tour from Cape Town, Table Mountain, Boulders Penguins and Cape point Day Tour, Wine Tour: Paarl, Franschhoek & Stellenbosch incl 3 wineries. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cape Town?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cape Town?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
