Amazing tour!!
My daughter and I had such an amazing time with Viva Safaris at the Tremisana Lodge and the treehouse! Everything was wonderful - the staff, the accomodation and the food. And of course the highlight was the safaris. We saw four out of the big five including two leopard sightings! The only one we missed was rhino. I highly recommend Viva for a once in a lifetime experience!
Response from the operator: Hi George Thanks for an AMAZING review. We are pleased to know that you and your daughter had such a good time with Viva Safaris. We had a great three day two night safari. Fantastic experience. The accomodation is rustic but adequate. The star of the show is the safari. Great experience.

Quick and Efficient
If you are looking for a quick and efficient tour of Kruger, this tour should work for you. Pick up, drop off, and everything logistical was handled smoothly and without issue. The safaris themselves were great. The food provided was sufficient. I had a great time!

Great, I enjoyd every moment.
So many wild animals in just a few days. Everything was well organized, drivers knew much about animals. The lodge was great, and it,s inside the park so you can see wild elephants while eating breakfast.
Response from the operator: Hi Jussi Thanks for a great review- we are pleased to know that you enjoyed every moment of your safari. It is wonderful that you saw an elephant while eating your breakfast -well done ! Be well

Good experience, would recommend.
We did a 3-day trip with 3 adults between 30 and 35 in December 2023. On the first day they picked us up at our accommodation in JoBurg. The communication before was very quick and they were very flexible with our pick up point and therefore small last minute changes. The drive from JoBurg to Tremisana Lodge took roundabout 6 hours. Half way we did a lunch break and changed cars, so our driver took visitors from the lodge back to JoBurg and we went to Tremisana. Shortly after JoBurg we came into a Police roadblock why we were a bit late but arrived quite in time at 5pm for our evening game drive. Our guide Smiley was very motivated and we had a great time. The first dinner was a BBQ in the private reserve (directly connected to Kruger). Great food, nice ambience. We had a very spacious guest house which was not luxurious, but nice. On the second day we had breakfast at 7:15 which was very simple and ok-ish. Every service person we met was extremely friendly. All kind of drinks including water needed to be payed cash at the bar. Drinks selection was good. Taste the Amarula 😉 After breakfast we spend a full day on safari in Kruger. We were lucky seeing animals, although our guide Raymond wasn’t very motivated, didn’t explain much, was just driving in small circles and not really reacting to our requests. We had two safaris in Addo before which much better guides in comparison. Made us kinda frustrated at the end of the second day. For the second night we moved to Marc‘s Camp, a Treehouse Lodge. It was very simple and kinda adventurous directly in another reserve. In the morning of the third day we met at 5:45am for a 1-Hour-bushwalk with our guide Quinn, who taught us a lot about the local trees, plants and animals. Very informative and 100% worth it. We payed roundabout 600 Euro per Person, what did we get and was it worth it? Included were the 2 nights of accommodation, 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners, the late night game drive, the Kruger safari including entry fees and the bush walk. In addition we payed in total 60 Euro for water and drinks for three persons. For the three lunches we payed independently what we had. And also we gave tips to the guides, drivers and service members we liked. Dinner was both times very nice, breakfast ok-ish. Although our Kruger safari was not the best, mainly because of the guide, you get an adventure, lots of memories and impressions. Would recommend :) Thank you for the experience, Viva Safaris!
Response from the operator: Hi Julia Thanks for a lovely detailed and comprehensive review. It certainly outlines the activities you experienced in great detail. We are happy that you found our product good and that you can recommend Viva Safaris. Thank you for mentioning our guides by name. We appreciate your recommendation. Be well

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
3 Day Lodge/Treehouse Kruger National Park Safari: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Johannesburg.
How much does 3 Day Lodge/Treehouse Kruger National Park Safari cost?
+
Prices start at $7795 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Johannesburg usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 3 Day Lodge/Treehouse Kruger National Park Safari take?
+
Plan for about 72 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Johannesburg is not rushed.
Is 3 Day Lodge/Treehouse Kruger National Park Safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Johannesburg, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 3 Day Lodge/Treehouse Kruger National Park Safari?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 3 Day Lodge/Treehouse Kruger National Park Safari suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 72-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 3 Day Lodge/Treehouse Kruger National Park Safari?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Johannesburg can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Johannesburg and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 3 Day Lodge/Treehouse Kruger National Park Safari start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Johannesburg within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Johannesburg?
+
On Outty we rank every Johannesburg experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Ultimate Pilanesberg National Park Safari from Johannesburg or Pretoria, Soweto and Johannesburg Exclusive Full Day Guided Tour, Half Guided Day Tour of Soweto And Apartheid Museum. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Johannesburg?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Johannesburg?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
