    About this experience

Join a micro-group of just 8 guests for a relaxing, rewarding and stimulating tour full of scenic diversity. Our 3-day Great Ocean Road tour is perfectly split between beach and mountains. You'll spend the first day and a half on the Great Ocean Road before travelling north into the mountains. It is almost like two separate tours as both regions command your full attention. The Great Ocean Road has different scenery around every corner and is full of life and movement. The Grampians is calmer and more quiet and offers some incredible viewing and walking experiences as well as being very rich in Aboriginal culture and rock art. The aim is to provide our micro groups with compelling but relaxed itineraries matched with unique and wonderful accommodation and dining experiences. Your guide will bring the tales of shipwrecks and explorers to life by the help of original artefacts from Loch Ard. Stay in ocean and mountain view villas and enjoy dinner at award winning restaurants.

    Very interesting...

Very interesting excursion, many conversations with stimulating, well-researched information, nice places to stay and selected fine dinners. Thank you very much, Pierre.

    Eddie was our guide and...

Eddie was our guide and he was wonderful by adjusting our schedule to avoid rainy times so we got sunshine instead of rain. He was very knowledgable with local history and brought us to locations while avoiding crowds to see amazing views and experiences. We were very lucky as it ended up a very private tour of two of us with Eddie so we were able to tailor the tour to what we preferred to do.

    Picture Perfect

All the sites along the Great Ocean Road were picturesque our pick of them would be The 12 Apostles.

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Melbourne and add a light layer if any part of the 72-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Melbourne?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Melbourne?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
