Best trip ever!
I had the best time travelling around NZ for a little more than 3 weeks! You really feel like you get to see all the best spots in such a short amount of time. I was really lucky to have an amazing group that instantly felt like a found family. Our driver and guide Leon was super fun, helpful and professional and always had loads of interesting facts up his sleeve (yoohoo!). Can only recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review!

Do this Trip!
Cannot recommend the Stray Adventure tour enough. If you don’t mind doing dorms but get heaps of activities and stops at incredible locations along the way. This is the tour for you. Brittany our driver was incredible and made the trip even better with her jokes and around personality. Do this trip!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to write this great review! We'd love permission to share your feedback and photos, for example on social media, is that okay with you?

Great way to see NZ while having a laugh along the way!
I cannot recommend Stray enough. We were taken to places that I would never have gone to had I drove myself. It is a sociable way to see NZ, we made so many friends along the way. The guides are great and really encourage the groups to get together in the evenings with group dinners etc, but there is also no pressure if you want to do your own thing. We had a few different drivers but the stand out for me was Pacman! He had a good balance of being informative while having a laugh and always made an effort to get involved with the groups. He was super friendly and happy to help with any app/booking issues. Only area for improvement is the app. It would be useful to have it automatically open on the last thing you booked, as having to scroll all the way down each time gets very annoying. And also it would be useful to be able to book more than just yourself onto activities and accommodation. I was travelling in a couple and we had to book seperately through the app and then contact the provider individually to ensure we were placed together. Overall a great experience that I would definitely do again and again!
Response from the operator: Hi Becca, Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review! We're glad you had a great time travelling with us and we'll be sure to pass your kind words on to Pacman. Safe and happy onward travels!

Best bus tour ever
Amazing trip. The drivers were amazing in helping out with activities, hostels and problems. Especially the driver Soxx was amazing. He helped us getting the activities we wanted and he helped a lot after my friend lost his passport. I'm going to miss him a lot, he made the tour extraordinary. You're the best, Soxx! - Goku
Response from the operator: Hi Goku, So happy to hear you had such an awesome time! We'll be sure to pass your great feedback onto Soxx :)

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
22 Day Great Kiwi Journey (Auckland to Auckland): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Auckland.
How much does 22 Day Great Kiwi Journey (Auckland to Auckland) cost?
+
Prices start at $6945 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Auckland usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 22 Day Great Kiwi Journey (Auckland to Auckland) take?
+
Plan for about 528 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Auckland is not rushed.
Is 22 Day Great Kiwi Journey (Auckland to Auckland) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Auckland, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 22 Day Great Kiwi Journey (Auckland to Auckland)?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is 22 Day Great Kiwi Journey (Auckland to Auckland) suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 18. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 528-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 22 Day Great Kiwi Journey (Auckland to Auckland)?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Auckland can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Auckland and add a light layer if any part of the 528-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 22 Day Great Kiwi Journey (Auckland to Auckland) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Auckland within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Auckland?
+
On Outty we rank every Auckland experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hobbiton & Waitomo Caves Guided Day Trip from Auckland incl lunch, Hobbiton Movie Set Small Group Tour with Cheeky Kiwi Travel, Hobbiton & Waitomo Glowworm Caves Tour with Lunch from Auckland. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Auckland?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Auckland?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
