A sightseeing tour of Indochina (Laos, Vietnam and Kambotscha) with many highlights
We started a round trip in November 2024. The start was four days in Laos. Our resort belonged to Luang Prabang, right on the Mekong. Highlights for us were the waterfalls Kang Si as well as the Pak Qu caves with up to 5000 Buddhas. In Luang Prabang you have the feeling to discover a temple on every street corner. Then we flew to Hanoi. Attractions included the Ho Chi Minh complex and the Temple of Literature, and a rickshaw ride completed the visit. Halong Bay was our next destination. It is a very touristy well organized visit, however, I would like to note, in the bay swam a lot of plastic waste and polystyrene. We reached the ancient imperial city of Hue by another flight. After visiting the Imperial Palace and other sights, we took the bus over the Cloud Pass. In Danang we experienced another highlight with the Marble Mountain. The Lantern Festival on the 15th of a month in Hoi An was very welcome, and we also found silk making in a workshop in the middle of Hoi An very interesting. The bike tour through the rice fields was a nice change. Hoi An is very touristy but very worth seeing due to its history and charm. The metropolis of Saigon shows the western, modern face of Vietnam. The Redereinigungspalast represents the horrors of the Vietnam wars against the French and Americans one-sided. Our overnight stay on the Mekong was very relaxing. The journey now took us to Cambodia. Siam Riap was our target. Angor is a huge arena and, according to our guide, consists of a variety of temples. Of course, Angor Wat is particularly noteworthy, although the temple complexes of Angor Thom and the temple TaProhm impressed us more. We would like to note, the night market in Siam Riap is worth seeing, you should have good nerves, because you could not look at everything in peace without being intrusively addressed. We booked the entire trip with the tour operator Indochina in Frankfurt. Since we live near Frankfurt we had personal contact with Mr. Rademacher. The trip was offered as a small group trip with different modules. We really liked that you could choose the hotel categories. We would also like to mention the additional options recommended by Mr. Rademacher, which included a monk's meal in Luang Pragang, visit to Elephant Village Camp, the Golden Bridge of Ba Na and the Vespa tour of Saigon in the evening. The AO show in Saigon is definitely worth seeing. We enjoyed every additional option, with Phare Circus in Siam Riap being entertaining in our eyes, but not to be compared to the peculiarity of the AO show. It should also be noted that the tour operator organized an additional program after it was established that there were still many hours between the visit to Halong Bay and the departure. We would also like to note, however, that there were two ambiguities, once the additional program was not taken into account with the elephants in the intermediate flight, so that unfortunately we could only experience the excursion half-day. We noticed this time discrepancy, but could be clarified by the named contact person via whatsapp, in English. The disagreement in Siam Riap was also resolved by our very dedicated tour guide with a good compromise. The tour guides spoke German throughout, there were some who answered all questions very well and were also optimally organized, in some cases there were also tour guides, since their information only related to the program. We would also like to note that the intermediate flights were often delayed, so we had to spend many hours at the airport.

Tran from Authentic adventures for vacation planning.
I recently engaged with Authentic travel for my trip. This trip was special as I had planned it with my sister and my mom. I was completely awed by Tran's professionalism and his detail support. He was constantly in touch and went out of his way to make our trip so memorable. I have plans for another trip to asia in 2025 and I know I will work Tran once again. Thank you Authentic and special thanks to Tran.
Response from the operator: From Authentic Adventures Vietnam, Thank you very much for sharing your review. We love hearing from our customers. Best regards

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
20-Day Highlights of Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand | Best 2026-27: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does 20-Day Highlights of Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand | Best 2026-27 cost?
+
Prices start at $2480 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 20-Day Highlights of Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand | Best 2026-27 take?
+
Plan for about 528 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is 20-Day Highlights of Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand | Best 2026-27 worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 20-Day Highlights of Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand | Best 2026-27?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 20-Day Highlights of Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand | Best 2026-27 suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 528-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 20-Day Highlights of Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand | Best 2026-27?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 528-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 20-Day Highlights of Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand | Best 2026-27 start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
