Amazing country and awesome guide!

When my family and I decided to travel to Costa Rica, we knew we had to contact Pedro who we met as our tour guide on a previous trip 8 years ago. We remembered him as kind, knowledgeable, helpful and with a keen eye for spotting wildlife. We were so glad he was able to be our guide for some trails around Arenal Volcano on this recent trip and he is still the amazing guide we remembered him to be. We had an awesome experience!

Response from the operator: It sounds like you had a wonderful experience revisiting Costa Rica with Pedro as your guide! It's amazing how impactful a knowledgeable guide can be, especially when exploring beautiful locations like Arenal Volcano. Your memories of him and the exceptional service you received really highlight the importance of good guides in making travel experiences memorable. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Excellent Tour

We weren’t sure what to expect when we booked. We met the tour guides at a church in town where we parked our car and got into a very nice van. Fernando was our driver and did an amazing job navigating the steep roads, he had the car ready to go and cooled after each stop, and he gave us some great restaurant suggestions. Mau was our nature guide and knew so much about the area. We saw a toucan, eyelash viper, howler monkeys, lizards, tarantulas, and many more creatures at the hanging bridges walk. We also learned a lot about the area and specifically the volcanoes. The volcano hike was a little more strenuous - but totally doable and we had a nice breeze. After the activities we had lunch at a soda where our food had been ordered and a table was reserved - which was nice because it was crowded. The food was traditional and delicious. The tour was so easy because they took care of everything -so we member had to think about making a plan or having the right change - plus it was informative and we had so much fun. I highly recommend.

Response from the operator: What a fantastic review – thank you so much! We're so happy to hear your tour exceeded expectations. It's great that Fernando made everything so smooth, from his expert driving to having the van ready and cool, and even sharing awesome restaurant tips. And how cool that Mau helped you spot so much wildlife at the hanging bridges – a toucan, viper, monkeys, tarantulas, and more! Plus, learning about the volcanoes sounds like a blast. We love making tours easy by handling all the details, so we're thrilled you felt taken care of, from the reserved lunch table to not worrying about plans or change. Thanks for the high recommendation! We hope to see you back in La Fortuna for another adventure soon!

Excellent Trip with an Awesome Guide

My husband and I were very lucky to be the only people on our tour, so we had Marvin’s complete attention. He was so friendly and knowledgeable about everything we asked in regards to the wildlife and culture of Costa Rica. He was also an incredible spotter, finding almost invisible lizards and birds. The hike at Mirador del Silencio was great as well. The view was amazing and the weather was great. Finally we went to a local place for lunch El fogón de chela, where the food was fantastic. Sour guava juice is my new favorite flavor! This was a fantastic trip and I would highly recommend Marvin and One With Nature any day.

Response from the operator: "We're so happy to know that Marvin was able to provide you with such a personalized and informative tour. His dedication to sharing his knowledge and passion for Costa Rica is truly inspiring. The Mirador del Silencio is a special place, and we're glad you had the opportunity to enjoy its beauty. We're also delighted to hear that you loved the local cuisine at El Fogón de Chela. Your positive feedback means the world to us, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Costa Rica in the future!"

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
