Great Safari Experience with KT & Safaris
We recently did the 2 Days Tsavo East Safari with KT & Safaris. All in all, it was a really great experience! We were very comfortable in the private car. I saw a lot of elephants, giraffes, zebras and lions in the vast savanna of Tsavo East. The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Accommodations and food were excellent. Getting to and from Mombasa was easy. Those who want to do safari in Kenya, will definitely recommend this tour.

A wonderful experience!
2 days private safari in Tsavo East with KT & Safaris. The car was new and comfortable. The driver-cum-guide is very smart, has planned the route according to our choice. I was fascinated by the vast landscape and wildlife of Tsavo. The arrangement was perfect, I enjoyed the safari in peace without any harassment. Highly recommended!

magical experience on a 2 day safari in Tsavo East
Booked a safari with KT Safari while we were in Diani! And it was a great service, quick answers and they provided transportation from Diani to Tsavo East and after the safari, Dicky drive us to Nairobi! It really was a deal breaker to have this add on to the safari package! Good price and we saw TONS of elephants, antelopes, and we even saw lioness and Hippos at the Voi lodge where we stayed the night! Just MAGICAL!

A brilliant Guide, a brilliant park, a brilliant experience.
A lifetime's experience, made very special indeed by our guide Tom who was companionable, humorous, friendly, organised, and in possession of a fantastic amount of knowledge about the park. Animals, birds, flora - Tom had a scholarly insight into them all and a genuine ability to make what you were seeing comprehensible and joyful. And we saw such magnificent things - lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, giraffes, baboons, impalas, and ostriches out-running our vehicle as well as a gorgeous array of bird life from vultures, owls and eagles to the astonishing swarms of queleas and the weird dinosaur-like hammerkop. Frankly, we would have missed so much without our guide's expertise and his ability to track down where the big cats were in this vast expanse. Satao camp itself was superb, situated next to a watering hole which came alive with thirsty animals in the evening. The food was very good, the 'tents' extremely comfortable, the staff kind and hospitable. But our biggest thanks to our guide Tom. His love for nature shone through and helped make the whole experience sublime for us. Thank you Tom!

Why this scores 69
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
2 Days Safari Tsavo East: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mombasa.
How much does 2 Days Safari Tsavo East cost?
+
Prices start at $600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mombasa usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 2 Days Safari Tsavo East take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mombasa is not rushed.
Is 2 Days Safari Tsavo East worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 37 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mombasa, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 2 Days Safari Tsavo East?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 2 Days Safari Tsavo East suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 2 Days Safari Tsavo East?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mombasa can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mombasa and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 2 Days Safari Tsavo East start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mombasa within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mombasa?
+
On Outty we rank every Mombasa experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mombasa City Tour, Walking Tour Through Old Town Mombasa and Fort Jesus, Visit to Fort Jesus and the Old Town of Mombasa. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mombasa?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mombasa?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
