Don't think twice, take this tour!

A great tour to do if you only have a short amount of days to spend in beautiful Equador. Luis took really good care of us in the private tour with the three of us. Although we could not see the snow-capped cone of the Cotopaxi, it was awesome to climb to the refugio. The lunch at San Agustin de Callo (build on old inca structures, still visible) simply spectacular. In the Banos area, there is simply too much to do, the only regret is to not have taken a 3 day tour, to fully enjoy all the activities. From pick-up till drop-off we had a great time, thanks to Luis!!!

Response from the operator: Dear guests, Thank you very much for choosing this tour, and especialy we are glad to know you liked this tour, considering your short stay in Ecuador! It is always good to know you maximied your time in Ecuador... Kind regards, Ecuador Best Tours,

A must: Banos excursion from Quito

Plan a day trip to Banos with Luis, our guide, and Suviatour Tours! If you’re spending a few days in Quito, maybe on your way to Galápagos, and you like outdoor activity or just want to see more of Ecuador than Quito (or GYE), a day excursion to Banos should be on your itinerary. And with Suviatour. Our group consisted of 8 guys, ages 33-51, fit, and one on crutches. We had a private tour in a spacious, comfortable mini-bus. Luis was the ideal guide, wanting to know our interests and tailoring the experience perfectly for the group and individuals who may not want to do all the same activities (zip line, swinging bridge walk, short walks, lunch). Luis also shared so much history, flora/fauna info, cultural insights and more. And as a gay group, we felt welcomed and always safe.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for you honest and helpful review for future travelers, to make the right choices and decisions during their stay in Ecuador...! We would love to take around to somewhere else in the near future. Ecuador have amazing places to be discovered, and we are sure you all will love to see. Come back with your friends, and visit us, we'll be waiting to share more adventures..!! Kind regards, EBT

Great guides!!!

We had Wilson and Hugo for our guides to Banos and Cotopaxi, respectively. Both were great. We had good conversations with Wilson in the long car ride to Banos, learning much about Ecuador's people, culture and way of life in the process. He also allowed us to customize our activities in Banos and catered to our needs throughout the 1 day tour from Quito. We were supposed to return by 6pm, but instead got 3 extra hrs because of his flexibility. With Hugo, he was warm and even packed us lunch. We got exactly what we wanted in Cotopaxi, which was horseriding and great views. Highly recommend booking these private tours via Suviatour.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for sharing with us your valuable comments! We always try to provide our guests the best quality services, and the best experiences!!! SUVIATOUR,

2-Days Cotopaxi and Baños Journey: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Quito.

How much does 2-Days Cotopaxi and Baños Journey cost?

+

Prices start at $269 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Quito usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 2-Days Cotopaxi and Baños Journey take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Quito is not rushed.

Is 2-Days Cotopaxi and Baños Journey worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Quito, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 2-Days Cotopaxi and Baños Journey?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 2-Days Cotopaxi and Baños Journey suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 2-Days Cotopaxi and Baños Journey?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Quito can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Quito and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 2-Days Cotopaxi and Baños Journey start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Quito within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Quito?

+

On Outty we rank every Quito experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cotopaxi tour from Quito -horseback ride and hike-NO TOURISTY way, Baños Full Day Tour from Quito Including Entrances and Activities, Gastronomic and Cultural Walking Tour of Quito with Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Quito?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Quito?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
