Amazing experience, even with bad weather

This was a great experience and you won't regret it if you book it. The whole trip was very well organized, the guides were super knowledgeable and friendly and the homestay was so much better than expected! You take a relaxing sleeping bus out there (stop off twice, take money to use bathrooms), arrive for lunch then trek through villages to your homestay for dinner. The next day you have breakfast at your homestay trek to a lunch spot then ride into town for a nice warm shower before driving back to Hanoi. We didn't have great weather which was a pity for the views, but the whole trip was amazing all the same.

Spectacular Sapa!!

This was by far the most breathtaking experience I’ve ever had. Sapa is beautiful. With spiraling rice terraces and ever present smiles from locals, our Sapa adventure was life changing. Vietnam Open Day Tours effortlessly guides us through what would have been a daunting experience. The bus ride from Hanoi to Sapa was an experience in itself. You are riding on a bus with bunk beds. These bunk beds recline a bit to add to the experience. The ride was smooth, until you reached unpaved roads but this is VIetnam. We stopped along the way to get food and use the rest rooms. Our bus guide seemed a bit rushed and sometimes aggressive but again this is Vietnam. After we arrived in Sapa we were met by our trekking guide. Her name escapes me but I will say..... I LOVE THIS LADY!! She took very good care of us along our journey! Day 1 we hiked for about 5 hours. The trails led you through dense vegetation. It’s rank f season so wear boots and expect to get muddy. After a long trek we ended at our homestay. FABULOUS! The homestay was clean and inviting! I expected a cot in someone’s back house but we stayed in beautiful bungalow looking out on to the rice terraces!!! To die for!!!!!! The food here was delicious. Day 2s trek was shorter maybe 3 hours. I couldn’t keep count because there was so much to see. In total we visited three villages and took amazing photos. We ended our journey with another delicious meal. A bus picked us up, took us back to Sapa town, we showered at one of the hotels then took the bunk bed bus back to Hanoi. I would definitively do this excursion again with Vietnam Open Door Tours!!!

2 Days 1 Night Sapa Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.

How much does 2 Days 1 Night Sapa Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $74 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 2 Days 1 Night Sapa Tour take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.

Is 2 Days 1 Night Sapa Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 2 Days 1 Night Sapa Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 2 Days 1 Night Sapa Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 2 Days 1 Night Sapa Tour?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 2 Days 1 Night Sapa Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hanoi?

+

On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi, Hanoi Cooking Class: Culture, Local Market & Community Care, Hanoi Motorbike Tour: Food, Culture and Fun by Vintage Motorbike. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hanoi?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hanoi?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
