Reckless driver
We want to share our experience on 2 Days 1 Night to Thạc Ban Gioc Waterfall from Hanoi, we were 5 people traveled by limousine from Ha Noi this past July/August, limousine was old & the driver name Dũng was horrible, he had no respect for people lives, his driving was reckless & his attitude sucked. During the 7 hrs trip he played his loud music & refuse to turn it off after we repeatedly asked him to, he made many dangerous passes that came close to having accidents. The tour guide name Hieu was no help either. We have travelled to areas such as Sapa& Ha Giang loop and this time was a disappointment. Please avoid this driver at all costs. Thác Bản Giốc was absolutely beautiful but the limousine service made our trip a scary one. So happy we got back to Ha Noi in one piece 🥵

Long drive but worth every second!
Ban Gioc Falls was absolutely breathtaking and worth every minute of the 7-hour drive each way. The tour was beautifully paced, with a peaceful visit to a local pagoda overlooking the falls—an unforgettable view, one of the best I’ve seen to date. The homestay was warm and authentic, offering a lovely glimpse into local life, and exploring the Tiger Caves the next morning was a real highlight. A special thanks to our fantastic guide An and David, our driver—both were professional, friendly, and made the entire journey smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this experience!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback and recommendation! We're thrilled to hear that your experience was memorable and that our team’s professionalism stood out. Waterfall closed due to flooding
Trip would have been fantastic, however the waterfall was closed as the site had flooded. We couldn’t get to the waterfall or do the boat ride (access to boats had also flooded). Pho our tour guide was brilliant and did everything to make the tour enjoyable. It would have been 5 stars if we had been able to see the waterfall. However it’s disappointing to do a 2 day, expensive trip to see a waterfall that’s closed. We didn’t complain as we thought they can’t control the weather, however if they’d known (or checked) that the waterfall was inaccessible then we could have rearranged.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that the waterfall and boat ride were inaccessible due to flooding during your trip. We completely understand your disappointment, especially after booking a two-day tour with the expectation of visiting the waterfall. While unfortunately the weather and flooding conditions are beyond our control, we understand that clearer communication in advance would have helped you make a different decision or rearrange your plans. We are very grateful for your kind words about Pho and are happy to hear that he did everything possible to make the experience enjoyable despite the circumstances. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us, and we will certainly work on checking conditions more carefully and communicating any major changes earlier in the future. If you would like to discuss your experience further, please don’t hesitate to contact Ms. My at +84986055955 or Ms. Sabrina at +84867080477.

Excellent experience
We had one of the best experiences of our trip traveling to Ban Gioc waterfalls. Tour guide An was amazing, we had a lovely and safe driver as well. Even though the journey was long (about 8 hours with the lunch breaks), it was well worth it. Spectacular scenery, less touristy areas and more untouched nature. An ordered some local foods for us which were very tasty and gave us a chance to experience local foods. We even got to eat dinner in a cave! Keep up the good work, I’ll be back with my extended family in the near future.

Excellent 2-day tour!
Excellent tour! It was a memorable experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed visiting Ban Gioc Waterfalls, Phat Tich Truc Lam Ban Gioc Pagoda, and Nguom Ngao Cave. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking! Although it was a long drive from Hanoi, the journey was made comfortable by a limousine ride with plenty of rest stops along the way. The accommodation at Yen Nhi Homestay in Cao Bang was fantastic, offering stunning views and delicious food. Eating at the cave's dining area was a unique experience. Special thanks to our guide, An! He was very informative and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience. The tour exceeded our expectations — I’d definitely recommend booking this tour!

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
2 Days 1 Night Ban Gioc Waterfall Tour from Hanoi By Limousine: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hanoi.
How much does 2 Days 1 Night Ban Gioc Waterfall Tour from Hanoi By Limousine cost?
+
Prices start at $198 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hanoi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 2 Days 1 Night Ban Gioc Waterfall Tour from Hanoi By Limousine take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hanoi is not rushed.
Is 2 Days 1 Night Ban Gioc Waterfall Tour from Hanoi By Limousine worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 37 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hanoi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 2 Days 1 Night Ban Gioc Waterfall Tour from Hanoi By Limousine?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 2 Days 1 Night Ban Gioc Waterfall Tour from Hanoi By Limousine suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 2 Days 1 Night Ban Gioc Waterfall Tour from Hanoi By Limousine?
+
Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hanoi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hanoi and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 2 Days 1 Night Ban Gioc Waterfall Tour from Hanoi By Limousine start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hanoi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Hanoi?
+
On Outty we rank every Hanoi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ninh Binh Day Trip from Hanoi with Tam Coc or Trang An & Mua Cave, Ha Giang Loop Tour 4 Days 3 Nights with Ha Giang Vision Tour, Halong Bay Day Tour With Titop Island, Cave, Kayak & Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Hanoi?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Hanoi?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
