Best Day Trip in Egypt: Exceptional Service from Wahid & Marsa Alam Tours
We recently booked a private day trip from Marsa Alam to the Valley of the Kings with Marsa Alam Tours, and it was easily the highlight of our vacation. The drive to Luxor is quite long, but our driver, Wahid, made the time fly by. He is an absolute professional—his driving felt very safe and smooth, and the car was spotless and cool with great AC. But more than just being a great driver, Wahid is a genuinely kind and thoughtful person. He shared so much interesting information about the local areas we passed through and made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. The best part was the "extra mile" service. On the way back, when we were all a bit tired from the heat of the tombs, Wahid surprised us by stopping and buying us all ice cream! It was such a sweet, unexpected gesture that really showed how much he cares about his guests' experience. If you are planning a trip to the Valley of the Kings or anywhere else in Egypt, I cannot recommend Marsa Alam Tours enough. Definitely ask for Wahid if you want a driver who treats you like family! Pros: Professional and safe driving. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Excellent communication during booking. Thoughtful touches (like the ice cream!) that make the trip special.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this incredible and thoughtful review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that your private day trip to the Valley of the Kings was the highlight of your vacation. The drive from Marsa Alam to Luxor is indeed a long journey, so we are immensely proud of Wahid for making the time fly by. He truly embodies our company philosophy—treating guests like family, prioritizing safety, and keeping the ride comfortable, cool, and clean. We will be sure to pass along your special praise to him, especially regarding the surprise ice cream treat! It is exactly those small, heartfelt gestures that make a trip memorable, and Wahid will be overjoyed to know his kindness made such a lasting impression on your family. Thank you for highlighting our communication and recommending Marsa Alam Tours so highly. We hope to welcome you back for another exceptional adventure in the future!

Thank you Marsa Alam Tours and specially Hamada and Said!
We found Marsa Alam Tours searching the internet. At first a little sceptic, but what a plessant surprise this company is! The communication after we made the booking was clear, friendly and smooth. We booked a private tour for just the two of us. On the day of the departure to Luxor the taxi driver was sharp on time for the pickup. (04.00 in the morning) We had a minivan with just us two, so we had plenty of space. (Perfect!!) Our taxi driver Hamada was a very professional and friendly driver. In 5 hours with two stops we were in Luxor and there the private guide Said was waiting for us. Hamada stayed with us the whole two days, got us fresh drinks, ice cream, some information on the way and all friendly and with professional distance. The tourguide Said was as passionate about his work as can be. He showed us around the Temples of Karnak and Luxor and led us passed the crowded cues. It showes he is doing this job for ten years now. After the temples we had a nice lunch in a local restaurant packed with locals, then you know the food must be good. And it was! We stayed the night in the Steigenberger Nile Palace. What can i say 5 star luxery, friendly staff, nice room, entertainment and good food. What do you need more. The second day we visited the Valley of the Kings. We entered the tombes and were mindblown from the overwhelming beauty. There is so much to see that it is almost too much much to take in. We finished the trip with a visit to the temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Again overwhelming beauty and you can't imagine how they could build this thousands of years ago. The 5 hours drive back with Hamada was smooth and relaxed. These two days were an experience we will never forget. Thank you Marsa Alam Tours and specially Hamada and Said!

Wonderful trip to Luxor
Everything went perfectly well. we got a very reliable driver. and a very well educated guide in Luxor who did not only show us everything but also explained what we saw. so we learned a lot and could enjoy it much more. We also got a better hotel than we booked with a nice terrace at the Nile. So I can really recommend doing such a trip for 2 days and choos marsa alam tours

A very interesting tour
Thank you for the trip, which we generally remember very well, despite the fact that, contrary to the arrangements, we received a car that was not suitable for a wheelchair user (a minivan with three steps that a disabled person could not overcome). However, the situation was saved by our driver Mohamed, who repeatedly carried my husband from the car seat to the ground and back, sometimes even alone, even though my husband weighs about 90 kilograms. He turned out to be an extremely helpful, empathetic person who was very understanding of our needs. I cannot imagine a trip without his full commitment and help, for which we thank him once again from the bottom of our hearts!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. We're delighted to hear that, overall, you had an interesting and memorable tour. We sincerely apologize for the issue with the car not being suitable for a wheelchair user, as this was certainly not the experience we aim to provide. However, we are very grateful for your kind words about Mohamed. It's wonderful to hear that he went above and beyond to assist you and your husband, showing such care and empathy. We will make sure to pass along your heartfelt thanks to him. We truly appreciate your understanding and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future. Best regards, Rana

Excellent guide, but Marsa Alam Tours wasn't great at organising everything
We really enjoyed our trip to Luxor, but there were a few things that didn't quite go as we'd thought. We'd booked a private tour, but as soon as we got into the van to go to Luxor, we noticed three other people there. They had also booked a private tour and were surprised to see us in their 'private transfer'. Then, when we got to Luxor, we were supposed to be transferred to another car - a private one this time - but it was nowhere to be found, which meant we had to carry our bags with us the whole day. Our guide Hamy was the absolute highlight of our trip and handled our disappointments very well, as well as being an excellent guide. He arranged a horse and carriage to take us to the different sights as well as to our hotel (which was the other excellent element of the tour, by the way). He also arranged a boat trip for us, which we had booked in advance, but hadn't been arranged by Marsa Alam Tours... The second day, we did finally get our private car and everything went smoothly from then on. In short, our guide Hamy and our hotel were excellent, but the organisation by Marsa Alam Tours left something to be desired.
Response from the operator: Dear leaveng, Thank you for your E-mail and your great review. This helps us to improve our services. we are happy to hear you have enjoyed the trip and you are happy with Hammy. The other couple have booked last minute.,it was the only way to go to luxor to join you.we have arranged a mini van instead of a normal sidan car. we are very sorry for this issue.our customer service will contact you to compensate you for the sharing transfer on the way to Luxor. Best Regards Ahmed
