Lovely 2 day trip from Goa to see the Taj Mahal
We were looking for a short trip from Goa to see the Taj Mahal because we might never be closer. Not many options and those that are available don't have many reviews so we had to just pick one and hope for the best. Needn't have worried - everything about this trip was spot on. Actual timings were sent to us the day before for pickup and flights. Pickup from our hotel was brutally early (4am) but driver was on time and the ride to the airport quick. Our driver at Delhi, Madan, texted us the day before to tell us which exit he would meet us at. We were with him for both days and his driving and consideration was excellent. We met our guide Raj at our hotel in Agra later in the day for our sunset visit to the Taj Mahal. And subsequently on day 2 for the sunrise one up close then on to Agra Fort. The guys managed the arrivals to minimise queueing and Raj helped us navigate the chaos around entry into the Taj Mahal proper so we got to make the most of our visit. Raj was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information throughout our tour. We chose the more expensive hotel option. The Clarks Shiraz was nice and our room comfortable, if a little tired. It had the bonus of being able to see both the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort from the terrace bar. There were a couple of stop offs the see how the marble insets are done using traditional techniques and some embroidery which were interesting but be prepared for some sales pitches. All in a really good trip. The Taj Mahal and Agra Fort are well worth the visit and the organisation and staff were first class.

Agra is well worth the trip
Agra is worth the trip. When traveling to Agra from any city in India other than New Delhi the travel is a challenge. The combination of flights combined with long drives makes this journey difficult. However, it is a critical piece os experiencing what India has to offer. Nikita Holidays does a wonderful job of handling all of the details so that the traveler needs only to absorb the rich history, beauty and culture of this magical place.

Company pressures positive reviews and pushy salesman
Don’t trust the positive reviews. We were asked constantly the entire second day of our trip to leave a positive review and the driver was checking trip advisor while driving. I ended up leaving a 5-star review on trip advisor because it was to the point where I felt unsafe. All of the info given as part of the tour is related to the 3 overpriced stores they force you to go into where pushy salesman won’t leave you . I know this is common with Indian tour companies but the whole trip felt like a scam to get you to buy things when all I wanted was the experience I already paid for. I do feel bad for the tour guide and driver because it’s clear they don’t get paid by the scummy company unless they receive positive reviews, but next time I go back to Agra (and I do happen to be going back in a few weeks) I will just hire a driver from a reputable company and plan the site seeing myself. The positives were having all the details of the trip planned for you and the actual site seeing was great, but I’m leaving a 1 star review to balance out the 5-star review I was coerced into leaving on trip advisor.

Great experience
I had a wonderful time with my to guides, Rocky and Prem. They treated me like royalty, there is nothing but great things to say about these two men. But not only was the time with them great be seeing the Taj Mahal was a one in a lifetime experience. This is a must do tour if you plan on come to Agra, the hotel service was also excellent and the food was amazing!. The English that was spoken by my guides were also on point, please book this trip! Beware, they’ll send you to friends that they know to buy things, completely harmless but be firm if your not interested.
