The best tour ever!

Both Lawrence and Billy were fabulous. There were 4 of us on this tour. We were able to customize the itinerary and our guides gave us other suggestions to add to our journey. We actually did a 3rd day tour to the Isle of Sky. Beautiful! Don't miss Sky. Both of our guides were so knowledgeable and funny and they really know their history. The van we used was comfortable and easy to get in and out of. I can't say enough..book a tour with this company.

Response from the operator: Hi Linda Thanks for this great review and I’m glad you enjoyed your time us on the Outlander & Skye tours and hopefully see you back one day Kind regards Billy

History, countryside , and distilleries of Inverness area

We did tours with both Lawrence (Larry) and William (Billy). Wonderful time! Both very knowledgeable, personable, and accommodating! Highly recommend! History, countryside, people, whiskey, flora and fauna all in their knowledge/experience. Would contact first if going back!

Best Tour Ever!

So DISCLAIMER we only did a one day tour with them, but they didn't have a one day Outlander location option pick lol. However I feel starting with them actually made the rest of our 2 week Scotland Holiday that much more amazing. I truly feel because they are local and love their history and country they are so open to share the hidden secrets and wonder of this great Country. We absolutely loved that about them and were so happy with our one day with Billy, our guide. Billy took care of everything from making sure we knew he was willing to show us what he could and tell us whatever he could about the surroundings. I think what set them aside from other tour groups I have used in the past was, Billy's exact words being " there is no rush I am here for you for the day and whatever you want to explore". I almost felt bad because it was our first day in Scotland and with the jet lag my husband and myself were probably not as inquisitive as some others. However this tour, with just the history he shared and the places he took us to, as well as learning just how amazing and nice the Scottish people are made it one of our personal highlights of our Scotland adventure. I also want to thank Billy for all of the suggestive places to see on our already locked in itinerary. Truly every place he suggested was magical and we even found places near his suggestions that just made our trip even more amazing. Can not thank them enough!

Response from the operator: Hi Kara Thank you for this great review and I'm glad you both enjoyed the day out with me and have taken back memories of the Scottish Highlands and maybe we may see you again if you ever come back Kind regards Billy

Just wonderful!

We spent two days with Billy touring the highlands. We didn’t have a specific agenda, but wanted to see the beautiful scenery, a couple of Outlander sights, and meet a highland coo, and Billy delivered all of that and more!! We had a wonderful time learning about the area and its history and Billy was friendly, informative and knew just where to go to maximize our time there. Loved it so much! Billy was also super flexible and easygoing. Highly recommend!!

Response from the operator: Hi Martin Thank you for this lovely review and I'm glad you all had a great time and hopefully you all enjoyed Edinburgh Maybe see you all again one day here in Bonnie Scotland Kind regards Billy

2 Day Private Guided Tour to Outlander locations , Loch Ness and Glencoe: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Edinburgh.

How much does 2 Day Private Guided Tour to Outlander locations , Loch Ness and Glencoe cost?

+

Prices start at $2000 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Edinburgh usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 2 Day Private Guided Tour to Outlander locations , Loch Ness and Glencoe take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Edinburgh is not rushed.

Is 2 Day Private Guided Tour to Outlander locations , Loch Ness and Glencoe worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Edinburgh, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 2 Day Private Guided Tour to Outlander locations , Loch Ness and Glencoe?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 2 Day Private Guided Tour to Outlander locations , Loch Ness and Glencoe suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 2 Day Private Guided Tour to Outlander locations , Loch Ness and Glencoe?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Edinburgh can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Edinburgh and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 2 Day Private Guided Tour to Outlander locations , Loch Ness and Glencoe start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Edinburgh within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Edinburgh?

+

On Outty we rank every Edinburgh experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Edinburgh: Loch Ness, Glencoe and The Highlands, Edinburgh: Glenfinnan Viaduct, Glencoe & Fort William, Edinburgh Ghost Tour: Mysteries, Legends and Murders. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Edinburgh?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Edinburgh?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
