Full Day Machu Picchu Tour. Circuit 2B

Me, my fiancé and my friend did the full day Machu pichu tour on October 27 with a tour guide (Samuel). Everything went smooth, from the beginning when they picked us up from our air bnb in Cusco and dropped us off at our Vistadome train station at Poroy to go to Aguas Calientes, where Vanessa met us and guided us to go take the bus to Machu Pichu, where Samuel was waiting for us. Samuel is very knowledgeable, very friendly, and answered all our questions about the history of the Inkas. Everything worked out great. Weather was also very nice that day. Once the tour ended, Samuel guided us back to Aguas Calientes and recommended somewhere to eat, before boarding our train back to Poroy, where someone was waiting to take us back to Cusco. Thank you Tierras Vivas for an amazing experience 🙏

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We’re delighted to hear that your Machu Picchu tour went smoothly from start to finish. We truly appreciate your kind words about Samuel, Vanessa, and the team who helped make your visit comfortable, informative, and memorable. We’ll be happy to share your feedback with them. Thanks to travelers like you, The Responsible People Foundation can continue supporting high Andean communities through health, education, nutrition, and climate initiatives. Just in awe. We cannot believe that we were there. Tierras Vivas provided a dream that we are still not awakening from!

We are still in awe of the amazing experience we had in Machu Picchu during our 9/28-9/29, 2025 dash through! We had a wonderful time and received excellent service. Tierras Vivas does an excellent job promoting tourism in Peru in a coordinated, friendly, and very organized manner. From planning, all the way to the last ride to our hotel in Lima, Tierras Vivas demonstrated great professionalism. Everything was very detailed and with excellent communication, in English and Spanish. From Yamelin, Judith, Efrén, to Samuel and all the drivers, Tierras Vivas made us feel at home: safe, and at peace. Our tour guide, Edwin, the best!!! His knowledge, his great sense of humor, and his command of English made Machu Picchu an unforgettable experience. Edwin is a great ambassador of culture, and the hours passed very pleasantly while we learned about the Inca Empire. From the bottom of my heart, I thank Tierras Vivas for this adventure, which it would not have been possible without all the love and excellent work.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your unforgettable Machu Picchu experience with us! We are delighted to know that our team and especially Edwin helped make your journey special and meaningful. Your support inspires us to continue creating authentic experiences while making a positive impact. Thanks to travelers like you, The Responsible People Foundation continues supporting high Andean communities through health, education, nutrition, and climate initiatives. Thank you for choosing Tierras Vivas. We hope to welcome you back to Peru someday!

2-Day Machu Picchu Tour by Train from Cusco: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.

How much does 2-Day Machu Picchu Tour by Train from Cusco cost?

+

Prices start at $330 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 2-Day Machu Picchu Tour by Train from Cusco take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.

Is 2-Day Machu Picchu Tour by Train from Cusco worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 32 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 2-Day Machu Picchu Tour by Train from Cusco?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 144 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 2-Day Machu Picchu Tour by Train from Cusco suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 2-Day Machu Picchu Tour by Train from Cusco?

+

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 2-Day Machu Picchu Tour by Train from Cusco start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cusco?

+

On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Excursion to Rainbow Mountain Full Day Optional Red Valley. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cusco?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cusco?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
