Wonderful family hike on Heullimgol Trail and other sightseeing
My family of three with an 11 year old child really enjoyed our trip with Bergen, a freelance tour guide with a long time passion for travel and hiking! He reached out before the trip to help us pick the best hiking trail for our abilities and interest and answered my questions. The day of pickup, he arrived on time and drove us to Seoraksan National Park in his comfortable minivan with one rest stop along the way. During the trip, Bergen provided amiable and interesting company. While hiking, he encouraged us along the trail, accommodating our pace while never rushing us. The scenery and hiking were fantastic! He also took many photos. Bergen took us to three excellent local restaurants off the tourist grid that were really a highlight for me, a foodie. (Bergen is also a foodie who has accumulated a big database of good restaurants across Korea.) We got to sample mountain vegetable bibimbap, charcoal grilled fish, and cold buckwheat noodles. The hotel in Sokcho was also a very comfortable and nice hotel with an ocean view and a superb breakfast buffet. (If you stay at the Sea Cruise Hotel, definitely don't miss out on the breakfast buffet and the rooftop observatory.) The cable car and visit to Naksansa were pleasant and scenic excursions. If I could suggest one addition, I would suggest a brief stop at the beach in Sokcho if the weather is good. That day was brilliantly sunny and the beach looked so clean and inviting. He probably would have taken us there if I'd asked, because he's very nice and wants everyone to have a wonderful trip!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your detailed review on our two day hike in Mt. Seoraksan. Your review will be vert helpful to understand our two day hike. It was my pleasure for me to share the nice hike experiance with your happy family. Thanks again for your review. Bergen Park

Great trip with an easy-going knowledgeable guide.
We enjoyed a great couple of days. Bergen picked us up on time in his very comfortable car for the drive to Seoraksan. The best of the autumn colours had passed but the landscape is still ruggedly beautiful and well worth visiting. The hike was not difficult if you have a reasonable level of fitness. The restaurant and hotel Bergen selected were both excellent, with a bonus visit to the night markets. Bergen adapted the itinerary to meet our preferences so we were able to have a relaxed visit to the Garden of Morning Calm on our return journey.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your nice review and I am pleased to hear that you enjoyed our two day Mt. Seoraksan hike and tour. It was also my pleasure to share two days with your nice and happy couple. Thanks again. Bergen Park

Hiking Heullimgol trail to Osaek & Nami Island
We had a wonderful 3 days with Bergen. He was happy to adjust the itinerary to suit our request to visit Nami Island as well. Our son is 10 years old and loved hiking with Bergen. We received very helpful information about travelling in Korea before the trip and very interesting information about Korea’s history during our journey. We loved visiting Naksana Temple and Nami Island. Bergen took many photos of our family which we will treasure with our memories of this trip.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind review. I also thoroughly enjoyed the hike and sightseeing with your family. Although the four hour hike wasn't easy, your family did great, and your 10 year old son did especially well—he was impressive! I hope you have a wonderful time on your Busan and Jeju tour. Thanks again.

Magnificent 2day round trip to Seoraksan Mountains from Seoul
Excellent 2days with Bergen exploring Serakosan mountains with overnight stay in Sokcho eating delicious Korean food. 1st day pick up in Seoul with afternoon hike, 4hrs, to Deungseondae Rock & through the Heillimgol Valley trail ( northern side of mountains). The hike was tough but absolutely stunning scenery & very rewarding. Dinner at a truly local fish Korean BBQ restaurant, so fresh straight from the sea 😋 Day2 exploring the southern side of Seoraksan including the cable car, Buddha & temples. Lunch at a local market restaurant where we queued with the locals and then to Naksana Temple before driving back to Seoul. Bergen is a wonderful guide and shared his passion for the Korean landscape and food, also taking heaps of photos along the way. The 2 days were my highlight of a 10 day stay in Korea, Bergen put together an excellent itinerary for our trip which I highly recommend.
Response from the operator: I am very pleased to hear that you returned to your home with lots of pleasant memory on our two day Mt. Seoraksan hike, tour and various local foods. I hope to see your couple someday later again. Thank you for your nice review on our two days hike and tour. Bergen Park

Relax and enjoy being with nature
Walking the trails of Mt Seoraksan with Bergen was a highlight of my trip to South Korea. Bergen thoughtfully planned the walks to cater for my age (70) and my daughter's bad knee. We saw absolutely beautiful scenery and Bergen made the whole experience seamless. He collected us from our hotel in Seoul, drove us expertly to the trail heads as well as took us to lovely local restaurants. We were very well cared for, returning to Seoul after a glorious two days seeing Mount Seoraksan and Sokcho.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your good review. I also enjoyed the hike at Mt. Seoraksan with you. I felt that you are a real hike enthusiast who love walking in nature. It was so lucky that we could hike snowy mountain in late March. Thanks again, Laura. Bergen Park

2-Day Hike through the Scenic Valleys of Mt. Seoraksan from Seoul: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seoul.
How much does 2-Day Hike through the Scenic Valleys of Mt. Seoraksan from Seoul cost?
+
Prices start at $459 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seoul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 2-Day Hike through the Scenic Valleys of Mt. Seoraksan from Seoul take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seoul is not rushed.
Is 2-Day Hike through the Scenic Valleys of Mt. Seoraksan from Seoul worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Seoul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 2-Day Hike through the Scenic Valleys of Mt. Seoraksan from Seoul?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 72 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 2-Day Hike through the Scenic Valleys of Mt. Seoraksan from Seoul suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 2-Day Hike through the Scenic Valleys of Mt. Seoraksan from Seoul?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seoul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seoul and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 2-Day Hike through the Scenic Valleys of Mt. Seoraksan from Seoul start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seoul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Seoul?
+
On Outty we rank every Seoul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include DMZ Tour: Defector Q&A, Tunnel & Suspension Bridge /Hotel pick up, Best DMZ Tour Seoul: Defector Q&A, 3rd Tunnel & Suspension Bridge, 2026 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best: DMZ Tour from Seoul. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Seoul?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Seoul?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
