A Wonderful Tasmanian Adventure

Dear Trent, thank you so much for introducing us to the amazing nature of Tasmania! It was the best tour of all our travels in Australia! The tour had a wonderful balance of physical activity, learning, and friendly communication. Trent was very attentive, kind, and caring. Cradle Mountain was absolutely beautiful! For the first time, we saw wombats and echidnas in the wild. The hotel where we stayed was cozy, and the food was delicious. We also had a wonderful international group with people from Vietnam, New Zealand, Denmark, Australia, and Russia. We sang songs, laughed, and had a great time together. Warm greetings to everyone! We hope to meet you all again someday!

Cradle Mountain is beautiful, especially with the Best Tour Guide

I don’t normally go on tours, so I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect, but the overnight tour to Cradle Mountain with Wild Tasmania Tours completely exceeded every expectation I had. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organised, relaxing, fun and unforgettable. Trent was wonderfully responsive when I started emailing him about the tour back in February and whilst Tasmania is breathtaking on its own, what truly made this tour exceptional was our amazing guide, Tim. Tim’s knowledge of Tasmania, the history, wildlife and hidden gems was outstanding. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him, and he always made sure every person on the tour was having the best possible experience, making it feel more like travelling with a great group of friends than being on a tour. I now wish I had extended my time to do the 4 night tour (even though I’d travelled through the east coast already). I would highly recommend Wild Tasmania Tours to anyone wanting to experience Tasmania properly — especially if you get Tim as your guide!

Response from the operator: Hi, Thank you so much for leaving us a review of your travel experience. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the trip. Safe travels, Trent and Tim

Tassie done right!

Amazing experience from booking to final drop off. A small local company with very dedicated staff who go out of their way to ensure that guests have a great experience. Tim was super informative and communicated the plans for the day really well. A great way to see the best of Tassie’s natural sights whilst avoiding the crowds. A very well planned tour with a great pace and plenty of activities. Would highly recommend to anyone seeking adventure.

Response from the operator: Hey Ness, thanks for the review of your tour, we appreciate it. Great to hear you enjoyed your time in Tasmania with us. Safe travels, Trent and Tim - Wild Tasmania Tours

Bush walking in Paradise

Loved this small group tour, with just 9 of us. Well-paced with beautiful waterfalls and stunning forests along the way. The walk at cradle mountain around dove lake was the highlight! Never gave I drunk in a mountain more. Just subbing!

Response from the operator: Hi Song! Thank you for leaving us a review of your tour with us! Great to here you enjoyed the trip and cheers on the mountain! Regards, Trent - Wild Tasmania Tours

2 Day Cradle Mountain Tour / Hobart return / Inc. Accommodation: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hobart.

How much does 2 Day Cradle Mountain Tour / Hobart return / Inc. Accommodation cost?

+

Prices start at $445 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hobart usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 2 Day Cradle Mountain Tour / Hobart return / Inc. Accommodation take?

+

Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hobart is not rushed.

Is 2 Day Cradle Mountain Tour / Hobart return / Inc. Accommodation worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Hobart, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 2 Day Cradle Mountain Tour / Hobart return / Inc. Accommodation?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 144 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 2 Day Cradle Mountain Tour / Hobart return / Inc. Accommodation suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 2 Day Cradle Mountain Tour / Hobart return / Inc. Accommodation?

+

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hobart can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hobart and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 2 Day Cradle Mountain Tour / Hobart return / Inc. Accommodation start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hobart within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hobart?

+

On Outty we rank every Hobart experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus- Return Tour (2.5 hours), Full-Day Guided Bruny Island Tour from Hobart, All Inclusive Bruny Island Day Tour Plus Guided Lighthouse Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hobart?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hobart?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
