The best Travel China Guide
This is my second time with Travel China Guide and planning for the next one soon… They are the best… Best customer support by email, in English and by WhatsApp and WeChat in English too … Transfers airports hotel train stations and support when I couldn’t find the meeting point… my fault! Burt got help quickly … Tour guides knowledgeable…and nice and friendly… Train tickets just easy as choose, pay and get an email confirmation … ticket issued and if there any changes they contact you before make any change … I visited, with them, Shanghai, Beijing and Xi’an… and last year Huangshan too. The truth I had just great experiences with them !!!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so glad our knowledgeable, friendly guides and seamless transfers made your experiences across Shanghai, Beijing, Xi'an, and Huangshan so memorable. It's great that the train ticketing process was easy and that we kept you informed of any changes. We truly appreciate your loyalty and your kind words. We can't wait to help plan your next trip!

Best of Beijing
This review is for our second itinerary of two: 2-day tour of Beijing Day one our guide Candy picks us up at our hotel to take us to Tiananmen Square. Security there is so tight, worst than airport security checks. They patted down everyone. They, not you, can deem anything in your possession as dangerous is confiscated or you’re not admitted. They closely examined a prepackaged toothpick I got at a restaurant to make sure it’s a real toothpick. Our passports were checked at three inspection points prior to the x-ray machine and you have to have prearranged reservations for that day. Candy knows where the shortest lines were. It took us about an hour to go through security. Other people a lot longer. Tiananmen Square is huge! The Forbidden City was spectacular. Candy took us to the best photo spots. She helped to take the group photos. She knows her history well. Her American English is excellent. All members of our group are English speaking but some are better with Chinese so candy sometimes did the narrative in both. We got a gondola ride to the top mountain at the base of the Great Wall. I thought it was supposed to be bigger. Anyway, still awesome. Second day was Beijing city highlights. Rickshaw ride through the old city alleys, the Lama temples, the summer palace, and temple of heaven. What an enjoyable experience!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this detailed and honest review! Candy will be absolutely delighted to hear that she knew the shortest security lines, took you to the best photo spots, helped with group photos, and shared her history knowledge in both English and Chinese. We are sorry the security checks were so intense, but we are glad Candy made the process as smooth as possible. We are thrilled you found the Forbidden City spectacular and the Great Wall awesome. The second day rickshaw ride, Lama temples, Summer Palace, and Temple of Heaven sound like a perfect Beijing city highlights tour. Thanks for sharing your enjoyable experience.

Beijing 2 Day Tour
Beijing 2 Day Private Tour Our last stop on a 21 day tour of China was Beijing. Our Tour was organised by Travel China Guide throughout. We were Collected at the train station and escorted to our hotel. The next morning guide and driver arrived on time and we were off to The Temple of Heaven. We did find this attraction a bit underwhelming. Next the Forbidden city.A very large complex with numerous buildings and courtyards.A quick rickshaw ride around a lake and hutong was a nice experience. Unfortunately we had to request a change of guide for the next day which was quickly facilitated. Linda Xie arrived the next morning to accompany us to the Great Wall Of China giving us lots of interesting information before we arrived to the site. A short shuttle bus and a cable car ride up the side of the mountain and the Great Wall was in sight. On the wall there are many steps and uneven surfaces to navigate depending on how far you want to walk. After about 90 minutes and back down by cable car and after lunch we were on our way to the Summer Palace . Linda filled us in on the history and continued the conversation through out our tour of the palace. A beautiful place with a very large lake at its centre. The lake can be crossed by optional ferry if you do not wish to walk completely around, this is a very large property and quite busy on the day of our visit. We then preceded towards the Olympic village just a view from the car and then a quick drive around Tianamen Square . Unfortunately due to preparation for upcoming celebrations tickets to visit were not available . Overall a fantastic day and we are grateful to Linda for her professionalism and company. Definitely place high on your list of not to be missed attractions.

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
2-Day Beijing Private Tour to Forbidden City, Great Wall: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.
How much does 2-Day Beijing Private Tour to Forbidden City, Great Wall cost?
+
Prices start at $165 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 2-Day Beijing Private Tour to Forbidden City, Great Wall take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.
Is 2-Day Beijing Private Tour to Forbidden City, Great Wall worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 61 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 2-Day Beijing Private Tour to Forbidden City, Great Wall?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 2-Day Beijing Private Tour to Forbidden City, Great Wall suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 2-Day Beijing Private Tour to Forbidden City, Great Wall?
+
Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 2-Day Beijing Private Tour to Forbidden City, Great Wall start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Beijing?
+
On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Beijing?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Beijing?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
