The best wine experience in Tuscany

Dear Tanya, Thank you so much for such a wonderful wine tour today. You showed us so much and explained everything about the wines with such passion and knowledge. We learned a lot and truly enjoyed every moment. It was a very special experience for both of us, and we really appreciate the time and personal attention you gave us. If you are ever in Chicago, or if there is ever anything we can help you with, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We would be very happy to return your kindness. Thank you again for making our visit so memorable! Semyon & Galina

Response from the operator: Dear Galina and Semyon, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such a beautiful and touching message. It was truly my pleasure and honor to host you today. In the busy rhythm of running a winery, meeting people as kind, thoughtful, and genuinely interested as you is what gives me the most inspiration. I truly enjoyed our conversation and the chance to share my passion for this land and our wines with you. Knowing that I could help make your visit to Tuscany memorable is the best reward I could ask for. Thank you so much for your incredibly generous invitation to Chicago - I will certainly keep it in mind! Please know that you are always welcome back here at Poggio del Moro, and I hope our paths cross again soon, whether in Italy or across the ocean. I wish you a wonderful and safe continuation of your journey. May every glass of wine you enjoy remind you of the warm Tuscan sun and the special moments we shared. With my warmest regards and sincere gratitude, Tatiana 🤍🍷✨

    Unforgettable Wine Tasting Experience

I had the pleasure of attending a wine tasting at this charming vineyard in Tuscany, and it was nothing short of magical. The setting was a postcard come to life, but what truly elevated this experience to extraordinary heights was our host, Marius, whose blend of professionalism and genuine warmth made the morning unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with a welcoming smile that immediately put everyone at ease. He was impeccably knowledgeable about the wines – sharing fascinating insights of the viticulture, the unique terroir of the estate, and the intricate processes behind each varietal we sampled. His explanations were clear, detailed, and delivered with the precision of a true expert, yet never overwhelming or pretentious. Marius tailored his commentary to our group’s interests, answering questions with depth and enthusiasm. What stood out most, though, was Marius’ friendly, approachable demeanor that made the tasting feel like a gathering among friends rather than a formal event. This perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness created an inclusive atmosphere where novices and connoisseurs alike felt comfortable and engaged. By the end, we weren’t just sipping wine – we were immersed in a story of passion and tradition. The wines themselves were divine, everything was thoughtfully curated, reflecting Marius’s expertise in guiding us through a progression that built flavors layer by layer. If you’re in Tuscany, do yourself a favor and book this tasting – Five stars!

    The definition of hospitality

The definition of hospitality. The winery, the passion, the owners and staff, Mateo, incredible. Frankly, they’re just cool 😎, like a group of friends who love what they do, and are doing it because they love doing it. Inspiring.

To be described as the "definition of hospitality" and for you to feel the passion we have for what we do means the world to us. We're so glad you connected with our team, and that you picked up on the fact that we're all just "a group of friends" who love sharing our passion with others. Inspiring? That's the best compliment we could ask for! We hope to see you again soon! Cheers! 🍷

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Siena.

How much does 1h30m Wine Tasting and Visit to Val D'Orcia cost?

    +

Prices start at $57 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Siena usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 1h30m Wine Tasting and Visit to Val D'Orcia take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Siena is not rushed.

Is 1h30m Wine Tasting and Visit to Val D'Orcia worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Siena, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 1h30m Wine Tasting and Visit to Val D'Orcia?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is 1h30m Wine Tasting and Visit to Val D'Orcia suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 1h30m Wine Tasting and Visit to Val D'Orcia?

    +

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Siena can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Siena and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Siena?

    +

On Outty we rank every Siena experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Small-Group Brunello di Montalcino Wine-Tasting Trip from Siena, Siena: A Wine Tour and Tasting Experience, Small-Group Montepulciano and Pienza Day Trip from Siena. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Siena?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Siena?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
