    About this experience

We built the only true 18 wheeler bus in the country. Our bus is as much a story as it is a product. We were a husband and wife team with very few resources but a fun, wild idea. We took a leap of faith hoping that with a little tenacity and courage we could build a truly special wine tour experience in our beloved hometown Temecula. We built out this bus ourselves over 2 years, never fully knowing if in the end we would get something so outrageous through the incredible tangle of regulatory red tape. It was difficult, but we did it. At last. Our vision is that our guests cruise through verdant vineyards with as little separation between themselves and the warm sun, cool air, and sights and smells of the countryside as possible. Glass in hand, we want you to connect with your people. We don't want you to just take photos, we want you to immerse yourself in an experience that stays fixed in your memory bank always. Original or nothing.

    What you'll see and do

    1. Temecula Valley

You will spend your day looping through Temecula wine country in the country's ONLY 18 wheeler converted into a full passenger bus (yes, it's legal and we are happy to tell the story). We spent years working to build a special experience where our guests roll through the verdant country with drink in hand, sun on face, sitting at the banquet tables with friends or standing at the railing to watch the vineyards roll by. We stop at 3 carefully selected wineries for 1 hour each. The tastings are included in the ticket cost (5-6 tastings per stop, 16-18 tastings total). We cover both major wine trails. You will have plenty to drink but small (backpack size) coolers with soft alcohol is permitted. Food can be added on separately or purchases at wineries. We build experiences designed to be whimsical and unconventional almost to the point of being outrageous. It's pure fun designed to get stuck in your memory bank for always. Original or nothing.

How far in advance should I book 18 Wheeler Wine Tours in Temecula Wine Country?

    +

Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Temecula and add a light layer if any part of the 5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Temecula?

    +

Temecula sells winery-hopping tours with tastings and lunch, hot air balloon flights over the vineyards at sunrise, and Old Town history and food walks. On Outty we rank every Temecula experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All Inclusive Temecula Wine Tour - Tastings, Lunch, Hotel Pickup, Authentic Cable Car Wine Tour, Temecula's Premier Wine Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Temecula?

    +

March to May and September to November; balloons fly best in calm morning air. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Temecula?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
