A perfect 15-day trip, thanks to Dammika from the agency Drivers in Sri Lanka.
We’ve just returned from our 15-day trip around Sri Lanka, and I’d like to say that, thanks to this agency – and in particular the driver they assigned us, DAMMIKA – the trip was perfect. He was an exceptional person who helped us get to know the country and its customs much better, showing us the most beautiful places. He was always looking out for us, and whatever we needed, he was there to help and give us advice on what to see, how to see it, where to eat, and so on… In the end, it felt as though he was just another member of our family. I got in touch with them because of the good reviews they’d received, and everything went very well. If you ask them, they’ll suggest the route they think is best, depending on what you want to see; or, as in my case, I suggested a route, and we adapted it as I came across new things to see. We chose the minivan option for greater comfort, but they offer both car and minivan options. They’ll also suggest hotels, or you can choose them yourself. We did the 15-day itinerary in an anti-clockwise direction, and we loved every bit of it, starting with Colombo, Galle, Yala, Ella, Nuwara Eliya, Kandy, Sigiriya, Anuradhapura and Nilaveli. When we arrived at the airport, Dammika was waiting for us with a sign bearing our names, and everything went brilliantly. He helped us right from the start – with the cash machines to withdraw money, getting a local SIM card for our mobiles, and recommending places to visit and where to eat – always looking out for us. He recommended that we plan our itinerary based on what we wanted to see, suggesting the best times to visit each place (he’d make suggestions, but always asked for our approval first); he showed us the country’s fruits and explained so many things about its culture – details that you’d always miss if you were travelling on your own. So, to sum up, I can only say very good things about the agency and the way it’s run, and above all, thank you for assigning Dammika to us – a brilliant driver, a perfect guide and, above all, a wonderful person.

Jawdropping Srilankan Serendipity
Gorgeous journey through the different souls of Sri Lanka. Swinging from sandy beaches, rocky peaks, mystic religious Temples, green jungle, tea plantation and safaris. We loved this formula, highly independent, always able to shift or review the plans. Special mention and thanks go to Dilshan our gentle and careful Driver, always able to help us out in any circumstance.

Great experience family with kids
We passed 2 lovely weeks visiting SriLanka during August, supported by Dinesh who helped us in discovering the most beautiful corners of the country. He took care of us, 2 kids (7&11) + my wife and I, driving carefully along the not easy traffic roads, providing valuable advices to enjoy our journey and has been always ready to adapt to our last minutes changes. I really recommend him as a driver for your next vacation in SriLanka.

Fabulous second tour with this operator!
This was our second time booking with Drivers in Sri Lanka and we asked for our favourite guide Podi who was exceptional once again. The best part about the guide and the tour operator is their flexibility in providing another option. For example we were quite tired in Sigiriya and didn’t want to climb the Pidurangala rock, so instead of wasting time we did a tuktuk tour that was organized instantly by Podi. He is very well connected and proactively coordinates with hotels to ensure we got the most out of our trip…. Even after the longest rides!

Incredible, experienced driver
We have just finished travelling around Sri Lanka for 2 weeks with 2 young families. Our driver was Manjula and he was absolutely fantastic. First and foremost he was a safe and careful driver- at no point did we feel anything but 100% safe in his care. He was brilliant with our children, very patient and kind towards them - my daughter has actually asked if he is now part of our family. He was so accommodating to our needs and helpful on all elements of our holiday including on the trips when he would support us and translate when needed. Manjula our holiday would not have been the same without you and we are so thankful to have had you looking after us whilst we visited your wonderful country.
