All the major sights and some obscure ones in one trip
I don't normally do tour packages but Egypt has a lot of sights spread out all over and internal travel can be fussy. This tour company is one of the few to offer El Minya, and that drew me to it (always wanted to see Ahkenaten's intended tomb). The package is flexible and has optional bonus tours, many of which I did. In each area (Cairo, Minya, Upper Egypt) you get a different guide and all of mine were great, particularly my Upper Egypt guide. You can add additional days in Cairo at start or end which is good because most of the add-on activities are up there. The best add-ons that I did were Alexandria, Dashur, Abu Simbel and Philae). Extra days and add-ons for me was about $1000 USD extra, but I did most of the ones they offered and had four extra nights. The vast array of sights I got to see, spanning 5000 years of history, was totally worth it. If you are looking to see LOTS of Egypt but feel intimidated by planning it yourself, this is an excellent way to do it. Strong recommend!

The experience of a lifetime!
I booked this trip as it was one of the longest, covered a lot of the sights I wanted to see and the only one that went to Amarna. I was not disappointed! Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable guides! Mohammad, Tharwat, and Rafai looked after us super well! We had Mohammad for Cairo, Tharwat for Amarna and Beni Hassan, and Rafai from Luxor to Aswan. All were very competent and fun to be around! I highly recommend these guys! The trip ran smoothly with small deviations to the given itinerary for the purpose of convenience - for example, Amarna one day with Beni Hassan the next. The only change these days was that the Boundary Stela was added but we did not make it to the Southern Rock Tombs. This was a bit disappointing for me as I hoped to see the Aten temples in the main city on the way through but we ran out of time. I will just have to come back again! The service was very good. Water was provided and the guides were very attentive to our needs. All the travelling from place to place was in a private air conditioned vehicle. Guides helped by letting us know when we were going to change drivers so that we could tip them (tipping is a foreign concept for us in New Zealand). Highly recommended! You won’t be disappointed!

Professional no-worries enjoyable tour
Mr Saleh ensured I received the tailored tour I requested. His team picked me up when I was ready to start and stayed with me throughout. They transported me tonall the sites on time and they made sure I caught the right trains and someone was at my destination to get me to my hotel. Not a single worry in this tour. One caution, however. Entrance are not covered and they add up rapidly. And, photo fees to shoot pictures at many of these sites also add up. Tour guides are dedicated and work hard to help you navigate through all this. Nada and Rafe and expert guides and trusted, flexible operators. Take their advice and you won't go wrong. They have no control, however, over outsiders. EVERYBODY has their hand out for a gratuity. Use the bathroom? Tip. Open a door for you? Tip. Answer a question? Tip. As for the sites, they are all spectacular and worth seeing. Take the optional tours to Abu Simbel and Philae. They will cap your trip.

Excellent adventure, well organized
My wife and I just back from an unforgettable holiday in Egypt booked by “Explore Plus Holidays”. From our arrival to our departure company showed great customer care and consideration for their customers providing a 5-star service. Our booking was dealt with big boss as they called Salah who ensured that the itinerary of our trip was perfect to suit our needs, He communicated with us before month of our start tour, During our 12 days we managed unusuall trip like Amarna, wow magnifecient temples you must see and tour it. 5-day Nile river Cruise, a hot air balloon ride over the valley of kings, a visit to Abu Simbel From the moment we landed in Cairo we were treated so soft, they were always asking about our suitable time to start tour, Luxor so nice place, we must try more days there to can cover all temples, Dendera so nice trip and temple to visit We returned home with ton of photos never forgot this adventure, thank you big boss “Salah” 😊 hhhhhhh

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
12-Night Private Tour: Amarna and El Minya with Cruise and Train: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Giza.
How much does 12-Night Private Tour: Amarna and El Minya with Cruise and Train cost?
+
Prices start at $898 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Giza usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 12-Night Private Tour: Amarna and El Minya with Cruise and Train take?
+
Plan for about 312 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Giza is not rushed.
Is 12-Night Private Tour: Amarna and El Minya with Cruise and Train worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Giza, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 12-Night Private Tour: Amarna and El Minya with Cruise and Train?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 12-Night Private Tour: Amarna and El Minya with Cruise and Train suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 312-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book 12-Night Private Tour: Amarna and El Minya with Cruise and Train?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Giza can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Giza and add a light layer if any part of the 312-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 12-Night Private Tour: Amarna and El Minya with Cruise and Train start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Giza within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Giza?
+
On Outty we rank every Giza experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pyramids Sphinx Camel ATV Bike Shopping and Nile Dinner Cruise, Cairo 8 Hour Private Tour of Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum, Pyramids Sphinx and Grand Egyptian Museum Nile Felucca or Bazaar. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Giza?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Giza?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
