Sensational trip, can only recommend it!
As a family of 6, despite initial difficulties with the airline (we needed almost 2 days to arrive instead of 14 hours), we were able to enjoy this trip in every respect. The organizer's planning was well thought out, our guide Gerald was perfect and, in addition to his tracking skills, was able to shine with humor, extreme driving skills, and conveying a sense of security to our group. A heartfelt thank you again to him! The selected lodges showed their special charm and the food tasted excellent. Unfortunately, I cannot go into more detail here about the countless animal sightings and other experiences; it would go beyond the scope here. I simply recommend that everyone book this trip - it is magnificent and a memory for a lifetime. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Uganda - Pearl of Africa
We had an incredible visit to Uganda. Sula was an amazing guide/driver who taught us about culture, family, animals, and differences in each region of the country. He is well connected in the tourism and can help meet any of your needs at each lodge. My wife and I went on two gorilla trekks, one chimp trekk, multiple game drives, and so much more. We came for the gorillas and found so much more. UGANDA IS AN AMAZING PLACE. From coordinating the trip with Jessee to completing the trip with Sula, we are 100% pleased with Lifetime and will use them again in the future. Weebale Sula. Till we meet again.

Great Uganda experience with a reliable local expert
We just finished a two-week tour through Uganda and Rwanda with Lifetime Experience Safaris and had an excellent experience. I highly recommend booking directly with a local operator. There is no need to use a European agency; booking locally is more cost-effective and ensures that your money stays within the local economy to support the people who actually live and work there. Jesse customized the tour exactly to our wishes. He was incredibly transparent about costs and surcharges for specific options. All permits for Gorilla and Chimpanzee trekking, as well as National Park entries, were perfectly organized in advance. The communication via WhatsApp prior to our arrival was very fast and reliable, which gave us a lot of confidence in booking from abroad. Our guide, Gerald, was outstanding! He is highly experienced, funny, and his calm demeanor took the stress out of challenging situations like border crossings. We felt safe at all times. Being a local, Gerald has deep knowledge of the country, wildlife, and people, and he interacts with everyone with great respect. We were always well looked after, with plenty of water provided in the car and good stops for lunch during our long drives. Also great "crisis management": Our luggage arrived several days late due to the airline. Jesse and Gerald handled everything—coordinating the pickup from Entebbe and transporting it across the country to us while we were already in a remote region. Their flexibility and talent for improvisation are unmatched. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Jesse and Gerald! This was a beautiful and authentic way to explore this wonderful country.

A True Lifetime Experience
We had an amazing holiday. We slightly tweaked the itinerary to become a fourteen day break and amended a couple of lodges - Jesse was incredibly helpful in organising the tour and always responded very quickly to our queries. The main attraction to planning the holiday had been to do the gorilla trek and yet Uganda had so much more to delight us. We enjoyed all the trekking with white rhino, chimpanzees, gorillas and golden monkeys. Being so close (and I mean within centimetres) of a chimpanzee and a gorilla, in their natural environment will be memories that last forever. The lodges were all comfortable, clean and focussed on providing good food. Travelling in February worked well as it is quiet season and the lodges and parks were not busy. The biggest thank you has to go to Gerald, our driver and guide. We felt safe throughout ( and the roads are difficult either due to crazy driving or crumbling dirt tracks); we laughed a lot; he ensured we tried local foods and learned about Ugandan life; and he ensured that every part of our tour was the best it could be. He really went beyond our expectations, from small things like getting our boots cleaned on our last day before we packed our case, to really important things like arranging for us to do the shortest gorilla trek as Andy had damaged ligaments in his shoulder before the trip.

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
12-Day Moderately Priced Pearl of Africa - Uganda Private Safari: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kampala.
How much does 12-Day Moderately Priced Pearl of Africa - Uganda Private Safari cost?
+
Prices start at $2,959 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kampala usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 12-Day Moderately Priced Pearl of Africa - Uganda Private Safari take?
+
Plan for about 288 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kampala is not rushed.
Is 12-Day Moderately Priced Pearl of Africa - Uganda Private Safari worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kampala, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 12-Day Moderately Priced Pearl of Africa - Uganda Private Safari?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 12-Day Moderately Priced Pearl of Africa - Uganda Private Safari suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 288-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 12-Day Moderately Priced Pearl of Africa - Uganda Private Safari?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kampala can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kampala and add a light layer if any part of the 288-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 12-Day Moderately Priced Pearl of Africa - Uganda Private Safari start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kampala within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kampala?
+
On Outty we rank every Kampala experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kampala’s Best Experience walking tour, Kampala Walking City Tours (Women-Guided), Kampala Heart of Walking Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kampala?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kampala?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
