    Amazing China Tour

Wendy Lee at Travel China Guide - Agate Travel was fantastic from the moment of my first enquiry. As a senior solo traveller a trip to China was a little daunting to organise but once I found Wendy all went well. I joined a small group tour but also veered off on a couple of train journeys to visit Pandas & to join a Yangtze River cruise. All of this was organised by Wendy. She arranged guides to meet me who in turn guided me to & from activities & the trains. I highly recommend Wendy & her colleagues. My China trip was amazing, well planned & I enjoyed every moment. Thanks Wendy & team.

Response from the operator: Dear Kat M, thank you for your kind post of this China tour! It is very exciting to have your approval of our travel service, which is also a great impetus for our improvement. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you. We look forward to exploring the world with you soon. Best regards.

    Private China tour in 2012

We used the company Xian Marco Polo International Travel Services (I believe it is known as: Travel China Guide)for our family tour to China. We were skeptical of using this company initially since we had no feedback except for the TripAdvisor reviews. The booking from UK was seamless, very quick, safe and efficient. The hotels and everything on the itinerary was perfect and well planned, with very good guides and transport to all the places included. So much so, that we are now planning to visit Vietnam and I am trying to see if this company does any tours to Vietnam and we would use their services again quite confidently..

Response from the operator: Dear Rina44, Thank you for traveling with TravelChinaGuide and taking time to share your travel experience with other Tripadvisor users here. It is a great pleasure to know that your family had a wonderful trip with our arrangements. Your recognition and support on our work is highly appreciated. We are now doing travel business globally. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you need any further help. Have a nice day!

11 Day small group tour to China with a 3 day add on to Thailand

Amazing tour was arranged by Abbey from Travel China Guide. She was so helpful, friendly, and accommodating when we wanted Thailand added to our 11 day trip. I travelled in Oct 2019 with my family of 5. We requested a no shopping, small group tour. The tour more than exceeded all our expectations. The small group of 16 got along so well that we dubbed ourselves Linda's Family after our guide Linda in Beijing. The hotels, meals, and tour guides from Linda in Beijing, Tracy in Xian, Sid and Joan on the Yangtze river cruise, Ocean in Shanghai and finally Kat in Bangkok were all first class. The tour was executed seamlessly. I would highly recommend using Travel China Guide as your tour operator if you are thinking of touring China. Thank you TCG for an unforgettable amazing trip !!!

Response from the operator: Dear Djkanai, How kind of you to post this inspiring review on Tripadvisor! It is our sincere thanks for your recognition on both our China tour service and Asian tour service! Our travel consultant Abbey and the local guides you mentioned will be excited to read your positive feedback on their services. Also, we are pleased with you kind recommendation on using our tour services. Your review is not only a great help to us, but also a useful reference to other travelers. Thanks again and wish to see you next time in Asia. Best regards!

    Linda, our outstanding Beijing guide (Travel Guide China tour}

We could not have asked for a more professional, friendly and knowledgeable guide than Linda to introduce us to this wonderful city. We & 14 other travellers instantly became her "family". She was highly organised, always punctual and nothing was too much trouble. With her help we made our way quickly and smoothly through holiday crowds, especially in Tian'amen Square, the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace. Especially appreciated was the visit to a home in the Hutong Village where we were so warmly welcomed. Other highlights were the day spent at the Great Wall, the Kung Fu show and the delicious & convivial Chinese meals we enjoyed. It was incredible how much we were able too pack into such a short stay and I'm sure the whole group has returned home with many happy memories of being part of "Linda's Family".

Response from the operator: Dear Brenda M, What a fantastic review! Thanks for taking your time to share your enjoyable China group tour experience online with us. We are more than happy to hear that you were satisfied with our tour guide Linda in Beijing and our arrangement. It is also joyful that you together with other 14 group member became “Linda's family” and you got along so well with each other. Your satisfaction is a great power and rewards to us. Thank you again for your support and we wish to have another chance to serve you in the future!

Beijing with Linda of Travel China Tours

Our guide Linda with Travel China Tours was great! She was professional and informative, and maybe most of all, personable - she called our small group, "Linda's Family", which made us feel more at home in a distant and very different culture. In a few days, Linda took us to see Tian'amen Square, the Forbidden City, Hutong Village, the Great Wall, and the Summer palace, not to mention a few great lunches - we did a lot. It was all very interesting and Linda made it more enjoyable. However, the heat, humidity, pollution, and the tremendous crowds made the days longer and more tiring. The time of year to visit should be an important consideration when traveling to China.

Response from the operator: Dear ftchina, Thank you so much for giving a 5-rating to TravelChinaGuide again! We are happy to know that you really enjoyed your Beijing tour with what you mentioned “Linda's family”. It is also delightful that you think our guide Linda's service professional and informative and enjoyed the meals included in the tour. Thank you again for your kind support and looking forward to another chance to serve you. Best wishes!

11-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing, Xi'an, Yangtze Cruise and Shanghai: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.

How much does 11-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing, Xi'an, Yangtze Cruise and Shanghai cost?

    +

Prices start at $2659 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 11-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing, Xi'an, Yangtze Cruise and Shanghai take?

    +

Plan for about 264 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.

Is 11-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing, Xi'an, Yangtze Cruise and Shanghai worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 11-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing, Xi'an, Yangtze Cruise and Shanghai?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 11-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing, Xi'an, Yangtze Cruise and Shanghai suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 264-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book 11-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing, Xi'an, Yangtze Cruise and Shanghai?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 264-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 11-Day Small-Group China Tour: Beijing, Xi'an, Yangtze Cruise and Shanghai start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Beijing?

    +

On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Beijing?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Beijing?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
