⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 — Epic Journey Tours made our proposal absolutely perfect!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 — Epic Journey Tours made our proposal absolutely perfect! I can't say enough good things about Epic Journey Tours. From the very first message, they were responsive, warm, and genuinely invested in helping me plan a wedding proposal at Chapultepec Castle. I'd reached out to several other companies beforehand — most never responded, and one actually went silent the moment I mentioned it would just be two of us. Epic Journey Tours was the total opposite: prompt, thorough, and clearly experienced with exactly this kind of moment. They answered every question, walked me through their policies and what to expect, and even shared photos of different locations to help me choose the perfect spot. They offered add-ons like a secret photographer, flowers, and champagne, but made it clear there was zero pressure — if I skipped the extras, they'd still make sure the moment was captured and memorable. Our guide, Victor, was outstanding — patient, knowledgeable, and so easy to be around. He guided us through the whole experience seamlessly and even took photos for us himself. I'd recommend him to anyone. And the twist we didn't see coming: our driver quietly doubled as our secret photographer! After dropping us off, he parked, changed into a jacket and hat, and secretly followed and filmed the entire proposal without either of us noticing. We only realized after the fact — genius. Everything ran on time, we felt safe and taken care of the whole way through, and the team turned our proposal into a memory we'll cherish forever. Epic Journey Tours truly lives up to its name. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

Wonderful trip!!
We had a wonderful visit to the Chapultepec castle with Victor, our guide. He was on time to pick us up with his driver. There is an inclined path to walk to the entrance from the road .My wife used a wheelchair rented with the tour company and Vittor was very patient, helpful and attentive- took us in the elevator inside the castle and made this trip really enjoyable. He is very knowledgeable and well informed about the history of Mexico.

Disappointing
Unfortunately our pickup was a half hour late, and then it took another 30 minutes to be picked up at the end of the tour. Not sure if this was all due to CDMX traffic or just poor planning but, in retrospect, it would have been faster and easier to catch an Uber. Roberto, our guide, was lovely and he seemed to be very knowledgeable, but his English was weak so we did not get as much out of the tour as we had hoped. That said, the castle was fabulous, especially the residence, and Roberto tried very hard to answer our questions and attend to our needs.
Response from the operator: Thank you for your review. We apologize for the transportation issues. We have already spoken with our guide, Roberto.

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
100% private tour in Chapultepec Castle & around (with transport): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.
How much does 100% private tour in Chapultepec Castle & around (with transport) cost?
+
Prices start at $575 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 100% private tour in Chapultepec Castle & around (with transport) take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.
Is 100% private tour in Chapultepec Castle & around (with transport) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 29 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 100% private tour in Chapultepec Castle & around (with transport)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 100% private tour in Chapultepec Castle & around (with transport) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 100% private tour in Chapultepec Castle & around (with transport)?
+
Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 100% private tour in Chapultepec Castle & around (with transport) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Mexico City?
+
On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Mexico City?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Mexico City?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
