Big Island snorkeling
Over all great experience! Highly recommend!! The boat was super fast!!! Quality equipment!! I’ve always had issues with the mask leaking but NOT on this trip! Was able to enjoy the snorkeling!! Mitch and Riley lead us to spinner dolphins! Will book again next time we are back on the Big Island!

It’s awesome that you enjoyed the boat, the quality gear, and especially that your mask fit comfortably with no leaking—being able to relax and actually enjoy the snorkeling makes all the difference. Mitch and Riley will be thrilled to know they helped make the day special and led your group to an unforgettable spinner dolphin encounter. Family Snorkel Day!
A wonderful charter experience that was easy going and supplied everything we needed so was stress free Led by Captain Mitch and Riley as guide. The 10 person boat was great to avoid crowds and get in and out of site with ease. We had one family member not comfortable with the ocean/snorkleing but the guide and captain made her uncomfortable with the experience she was in the water the entire time! We saw beautiful coral reefs and a multitude of fosh along with spinner dolphins chasing our wake. The captain and guide were top notch and very knowledgeable about the marine life and history of Hawaii. Can’t wait to call them and book next trip to the Big island.
Response from the operator: Aloha, and thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review! We’re so glad your private charter felt easygoing, stress-free, and fully taken care of from start to finish. Captain Mitch and Riley will be stoked to hear your kind words. One of the best parts of a private charter is being able to move at your group’s pace, avoid the crowds, and give each guest the support they need. We’re especially happy your family member felt comfortable enough to stay in the water and enjoy the snorkeling experience. Beautiful reefs, colorful fish, spinner dolphins riding the wake, and stories about Hawai‘i’s marine life and history sounds like a perfect Big Island day. Mahalo for choosing Hawaii Marine Life Charters—we’d be honored to take you out again on your next trip!

Epic Snorkel Excursion on Comfortable Boat!
Epic Saturday morning in the beautiful ocean. I felt safe on this comfortable boat. Captain Brian and Natusko were very attentive to our needs from the time we arrived to the dock to the final return to harbor. We were fitted for masks, fins and snorkels. Thankfully they offered multiple sized masks for my small face. We explored sea caves, coastal nooks, underwater coral reefs. After a fantastic snorkel at Two-Step, we had yummy fresh pineapple and lunch. Refreshing drinks! Captain Cook snorkel and brief history lesson was excellent. So much beautiful color in the ocean along the monument and shore. Look at my photos of that turquoise water!! The ride was smooth yet exhilarating. Please do not hesitate. You must book with this tour boat! This small intimate setting is waaaaaay better than the huge boats. We felt special. Lifelong memories were made. We will be back!
Response from the operator: Aloha Beth, Mahalo nui loa for such a wonderful review! Reading this truly means so much to us. We’re honored you chose Hawaii Marine Life Charters for your private charter adventure and are so happy to hear the experience created lifelong memories for you. Captain Brian and Natusko will be incredibly grateful for your kind words. We take great pride in creating a safe, personal, and comfortable experience from the moment guests arrive at the dock until we return to the harbor, and we’re thrilled that came through during your day on the water. It sounds like you experienced some of the very best of the Kona coast—from sea caves and coral reefs to the incredible snorkeling at Two-Step and Kealakekua Bay by the Captain Cook Monument. That turquoise water truly never gets old, even for us! We’re also glad the fresh pineapple, lunch, and refreshing drinks helped make the day even more special. Your comments about the small, intimate setting mean the world to us. Providing a more personal experience away from the crowds is exactly why we do what we do, and we’re so happy you felt cared for and special throughout the trip. Mahalo again for your support and recommendation. We can’t wait to welcome you back for another unforgettable day on the beautiful Kona coast! 🤙🌺

Marine Life Adventure
What a remarkable experience! Brian and Skye were great guides- We saw humpback whales, swam with a manta ray, snorkeled in a private cove and had hundreds of spinner dolphins surrounding the boat. Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
10 Passenger Max Customizable Private Charter: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Big Island of Hawaii.
How much does 10 Passenger Max Customizable Private Charter cost?
+
Prices start at $1740 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Big Island of Hawaii usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 10 Passenger Max Customizable Private Charter take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Big Island of Hawaii is not rushed.
Is 10 Passenger Max Customizable Private Charter worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Big Island of Hawaii, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 10 Passenger Max Customizable Private Charter?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 10 Passenger Max Customizable Private Charter suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 10 Passenger Max Customizable Private Charter?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Big Island of Hawaii can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Big Island of Hawaii and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 10 Passenger Max Customizable Private Charter start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Big Island of Hawaii within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Big Island of Hawaii?
+
The Big Island is volcano country: Hawaii Volcanoes National Park tours, Mauna Kea summit stargazing, night manta ray snorkels off Kona, Waipio Valley lookouts and coffee farm visits. Summit tours have real altitude rules, so we weight safety detail. On Outty we rank every Big Island of Hawaii experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include KONA Manta Ray Night Snorkel - FREE re-ride if no Sightings, Big Island in a Day: Volcanoes Waterfalls Sightseeing and History, Big Island: Captain Cook Snorkel On A Power Catamaran With Lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Big Island of Hawaii?
+
April to October, though the island runs year round. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Big Island of Hawaii?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
