What you get
About this experience
This is a premier experience in the Marco Island area and is superb for the entire family... from toddlers to the grandparents. It is a personalized eco-adventure. Every day is different in the Everglades and 10,000 Islands so we try to be very flexible and dynamic. The tour may/will include a bit of birding, some photography, strolling thru tidal pools, shelling on a remote beach, exploration of one of the 10,000 Islands and a visit to the very tip of Southwest Florida - Cape Romano! The first part of the experience is a guided boating eco tour in search of the areas rich wildlife. The second part is an interpretive, guided walk on a remote barrier island to explore the island's beaches, tidal pools and inter-tidal zones. Absolutely the best shell collection opportunities in Florida! Note: June through October, we suggest the morning experiences due to the weather.

Best shelling on a cool rainy day!
We almost cancelled because the weather called for cold, wind and rain. Soooooo glad we did not! We had the best tour from watching dolphins play in our wake and feed against the sandbar, to the most secluded shelling spot. Our captain and first mate were so friendly and knowledgeable. Cannot wait to come back!
Response from the operator: Glad you all decided to stick it out! Thank you for the great review and we hope to see you all soon!!

Dolphin Whisperer!
Ryan/Brian (apologies - I couldn't remember which over the engine!) was fantastic! The guy is the dolphin whisperer! He got dolphins to follow in the wake and jump a few times! Was amazing! Fantastic tour and highly recommend!
Response from the operator: Thank you for the review, John! Captain Ryan sure knows his stuff! Thanks for coming out!

Intimate Contact with the Everglades
Don McCumber was a deeply informed naturalist and story teller who introduced us to shell creatures, the mangrove tree mysteries of making islands, and some history along the way. He persuaded a mother and child dolphin pair to surf our wake! Ask him about kayaking from Cuba to Key West! The time could not have been better spent.
Response from the operator: It sounds like Capt. Don made your experience truly unforgettable! Doesn't get much cuter than a mom and baby playing in the boat wake.. It’s wonderful that you found the time so well spent. Thanks for sharing and coming out with us!

Fabulous Boat Ride through Everglades
Extremely knowledgeable captain about the natural world, lovely boat ride through mangrove forests, easy on and off boat even for the elderly! Wonderful all around!
Response from the operator: Thank you for the review ! A good captain who can share insight and knowledge about the 10,000 islands makes a tour so much more enriching. It’s great to hear that the boat was easy to board and disembark from. Thanks again for coming out with us!

10,000 Islands Boat Excursion - 3.5-Hour Dolphins & Shelling Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.
How much does 10,000 Islands Boat Excursion - 3.5-Hour Dolphins & Shelling Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $170 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does 10,000 Islands Boat Excursion - 3.5-Hour Dolphins & Shelling Tour take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.
Is 10,000 Islands Boat Excursion - 3.5-Hour Dolphins & Shelling Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 50 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule 10,000 Islands Boat Excursion - 3.5-Hour Dolphins & Shelling Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is 10,000 Islands Boat Excursion - 3.5-Hour Dolphins & Shelling Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book 10,000 Islands Boat Excursion - 3.5-Hour Dolphins & Shelling Tour?
+
Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does 10,000 Islands Boat Excursion - 3.5-Hour Dolphins & Shelling Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
Naples is the launch point for Everglades airboat rides and Ten Thousand Islands boat tours, along with shelling trips, sunset sails off the pier and small-group food walks downtown. On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Marco Island and Naples Pedal or Paddle Kayak Tour, Mangrove Tunnels & Mudflats Kayak Tour - Local Biologist Guides, Manatees and Mangrove Tunnels Small Group Kayak Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
November to April, the dry season with the best wildlife viewing. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
