Halong 1 night stay on Sea Star cruise

Everything was perfect for us. Cruise manager and all of the crew were simply the best of all. This is the best highlight of our Vietnam tour and it was a really nice experience with phenomenal service for an overnight stay in Halong bay.

Amazing Sea Star cruise

We boarded the cruise for 1 night and everything was just perfect. This is the last night and also the best of our trip in Vietnam and the most memorable experience for our 3 weeks of travel. This cruise has all we could ask for and expect. Cruise staff offered the best service they could ever do. Highly recommend this cruise to everybody traveling to Halong Bay.

Avoid, avoid, avoid!

HORRIBLE experience! This product is sold by a third party company, not the cruise company itself (Le journey are great, excelent staff on boat and conditioins on the cruise), which ruined our honeymoon vacation for days ahead! First, the ricket you buy is by a eeaeller and with tiny letters is written that they can change the cruiae pick up location. We were in the area and booked a hotel the previoua night close to the pick up, both mentioned in Viatour and our ticket. The PREVIOUS NIGHT! (imagine if we didn't have internet or WhatsApp to get the news, beign foreign in an unknown country) weote to me on WhatsApp (also very professional) with the notification that the pick up location is different,sending us a pin on some island in Halong bay, titally different than the oroginal one, half an hour with a car, where there is no public transportation. Like mentioned we expected to go straight from the hotel to the port, and asked them to at least pick us up, becauae it was already late evening and ceuiae starts the next day morning. The operator wrote to manage ourselves, usually they have only clients from Hanoi arriving with bus, so they dont know ehat to do with people like us, waiting on the spot (?!?). Also another thing to understand was that the additional payment, which is some government tax dor the night -700K/person, excluded in the trip price, was to be payed cash. Lovely to hear at 23h the previous evenning when there are no normal comission atms around, so we had to wake up even earlier next morning and aearch for that as well..... Fast forward, on the pick up we apoke about the whole situation with one of the managers, he was totally lost, didn't do anything and resend us to speak with the cruise crew about the issue. We decided to elave the matter until the end of the trip (quite nice experience). On the boat they didn't give us the bill for the 1400K , as we were two people, also when we got off ans asked at the pick up if we had to pay(even tough every normal elrson after such a three day scandal, ruining the whole beautiful experience, would leave) the girl checked in the system and said there is nothing for us. Good, we walked away calmly and now. Two days later i receive a request from the same people that they have missed to bill us to so now, that we are leaving thev ccountry with a big pile of VND cash ,exchanged especially for the cruise,which we now have to change back, again the same story begins: "it is Viator's fault, not ours" etc. when my husband also has listed trips in the platform and we know perfectly well how this can be easily avoided with just having three listings for the different trips, not one! To end: three days im dealing with this already, cauaing my husband and i all kind of unpleasant emotions, so if you are wise, dont ever buy this trip and tell your close ones to avoid!

Response from the operator: A COUPLE OF LIARS. 1, The voucher clearly says: Depend on the cruise you book the start port will be different. You booked hotel and never asked us where is the port. Also you have checked the cruise many channels to see it cheapest here. Totally a liar as you just want us to pay taxi for you to get to the port which we denied. It is written in your VIATOR TICKET SO YOU FAILED TO SEE IT THEN IT WAS YOUR MISTAKE NOT US. 2. We told you prepare the entrance fee 700k cash or credit card +3.5% bank fee. You chose to do cash to save money then you had to find your way to get cash. Cheaper means inconvenient. 3. A Good person never left without paying when the cruise staff got 30 others to care at the same time. You drove straight away when you left the boat and nobody could find. You come to the restaurant and had a coffee, staff was not there and you just left quickly without paying then it was the problem of the restaurant? 4. We contacted you to get you pay but you denied. The staff tried to call but you also did not accept the call. 5. TO NOW THIS CUSTOMER STILL NOT PAID 1.400.000d (56$) and we have to report it to the police. TO READERS AND CLIENTS - IF YOU WANT TO STEAL OR RIP OFF LOCAL COMPANIES - YOU SHOULD AVOID US.
