1-2 Days Group Tour to Avatar & Tianmen Mountain & Glass Bridge

A waste of money and a scam

When we arrived to glass bridge, they told us we could buy a zip line or a boat. First of all the price they advertised is more expensive that the one in the ticket booth. But also as Me and my friend didn’t want to do those activities they told us we would have to wait 3 hours sitting in a bench. Only after the guide saw me get angry she told me we could visit around but the area is not that big. They should have let us know that if no activity is chosen we would have to wait or advertise this tour in any other way and we wouldn’t have bought it. Now we spent around 500 usd and we are sitting in a table waiting for another 2 hours just because some useless person wouldn’t describe this scam properly on the website. Also they changed our schedule due to weather conditions and wouldn’t tell us about it in advanced, we asked specifically for food options to plan ahead and this change in plans also interfered with our meals. I had to beg them for a refund since they made us waste one full day and we still needed to make arrangements for the second day as we were for sure not going with them again. The people from the company denied and made me waste time asking me what was wrong several times and asking me who’s fault it was (trying to make me blame the tourist guide who was the only one doing things right). They finally gave me a refund but the bad taste is still on my mouth. I went to Zhangjiajie for 2 days only, wasted one doing nothing but a glass bridge that should have taken me 2 hours and I even had to pay and make arrangements to cover the second day on my own. It’s a lot of money for some trash I don’t recommend it for anyone. The guide was amazing trying to help us fix things though . Also we went to avatar mountain park by ourselves, firstly the tickets are half price if you are a student. Also counting the didi there + tickets + railway + elevator it was not even half of what I paid for the tour (same with the glass bridge). Do it yourself and don’t waste money nor time

Fantastic experience, a lot of awesome emotions after sightseeing. We especially loved the hidden gem spots showed by our tour guide Jason!!

Very good tour

We had a fantastic two days with Jeremy as our tour guide. He brought us to less crowded locations in order to get beautiful photos of the Avatar mountains. He was in constant contact and did everything to ensure with had an enjoyable tour. The company itself could do with better communication. All was fine once we had the tour guide but it seems the company leaves everything to them. They should be more organised and be able to tell us when the tour is going to start. They also didn’t buy our tickets until the day before which meant we had a later start. Thankfully having a good guide made up for their shortcomings.

Heavenly peaks in perfect weather.

1 day tour: Our group of 10 were led swiftly and efficiently by our cheerful and efficient guide, James along many paths to view the spectacular quartz sandstone pillars in the fading mist. James highlighted interesting amphropomorthic rock formations and warned us about the number of steps or potential hazards to be expected along the way or monkeys to avoid. To prevent fatigue and avoid long lines, he recommended riding a small train and the Tianzi cable way which involved additional costs that the group agreed upon at the start of the tour. I admire anyone who visits this National Park without a guide but I think it would be time consuming and confusing as there are several shuttle buses and escalators to ride and many winding paths and rising elevations.
