Best guide in Cusco-Machu Picchu-Peru - Julio Cesar 🇵🇪

My husband and I chose a 7-day tour of Peru, and the main reason for this trip was to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World—Machu Picchu. On our fourth day in Cusco, we met Julio Cesar, who became our guide for two unforgettable days. With Julio Cesar, we visited Chinchero, Maras, Moray, and of course Machu Picchu. From the very beginning, he made us feel welcome and cared for. He is kind-hearted, attentive, knowledgeable, and full of positive energy. You can truly feel his deep passion for Incan history and Peruvian culture in the way he tells stories and explains each place. Julio Cesar was incredibly patient and thoughtful, always going the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and happy. He checked in with us often and made sure every moment of the tour felt special. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. If you’re exploring Cusco, Chinchero, Maras, Moray, or Machu Picchu, I highly recommend Julio Cesar. You will be in excellent hands and will leave with unforgettable memories.

Everything was 10/10.

This was my first tour and it was my first time in South America. This tour made me believe that Peru is the best choice for those who will have their first time in South America. Everything was well-planned and well-scheduled. The tour guides were so helpful and supportive. As for the places visited are among the most important landmarks. Buggy rides and sandboarding were mind blowing. Definitely a must-see.

The guide and agency you can rely on

Yeni the guide was professional, warm-hearted, and considerate. She went above and beyond her assigned duties to act in the traveller’s best interest. ShE had a voice that made us feel at ease and always ready to help: she must be a valuable asset to the company; I think. She was also knowledgeable about the history and culture of Peru. All the staff and drivers were very helpful. When my luggage was delayed at the airport, they took good care of us. The itinerary was well planned; after coming back from Machu Picchu, we could relax and rest by visiting a museum the next day. Thanks to this travel agency, we came to know how charming Peru is and how friendly her people are. Strongly recommended.

Exceptional Experience on Andean Tour with Yeny

Traveled to Peru for 7 day Andean Experience, the tour was through Inkayni, Yeny was our tour guide, she was exceptional. Extraordinarily knowledgeable about the area, culture, and history. Even took us to local authentic restaurant for my friend to satiate his novel experience in trying cuy (Guinea Pig). Gave us exceptional recommendations on local restaurants including in Agua Calientes - Machu Picchu. She also took the time to explain quite a bit of the history of Peru with the different Governors of Inca (rulers) and contributions of each. The tour was much more than just Machu Picchu even as it stands out as a highlight of the tour, the amazing city of Cusco has so many unique neighborhoods, some reminiscent of Chefchaouen in Morocco minus the blue buildings. The steep hills in and around Cusco were definitely a challenge with altitude of 11k feet elevation, adjustment took a while and Yeny adjusted to our pace and taking the time to point out unique architecture of the Inca’s and staying with us beyond the itenarary as we explored Qorikancha on the next to last day. The advanced society of Incas makes one appreciate the amazing knowledge (farming on terraces in Moray for climate control), that was lost with a collapse of a civilization indeed that is likely similar to many civilizations that have risen and fallen. If there was a “negative” to state, just keep in mind the time of year traveling, it’s quite cool when we went, but Sun and hikes up and down at altitude can definitely heat you up, ywearing layers important, oxygen saturation will be challenged (mine dipped to low of 86%). Exceptional tour with an extraordinary tour guide, highly recommend.

07 Day Andean Experience Through the Living Culture of the Incas: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cusco.

How much does 07 Day Andean Experience Through the Living Culture of the Incas cost?

+

Prices start at $1369 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cusco usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does 07 Day Andean Experience Through the Living Culture of the Incas take?

+

Plan for about 168 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cusco is not rushed.

Is 07 Day Andean Experience Through the Living Culture of the Incas worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 54 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Cusco, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule 07 Day Andean Experience Through the Living Culture of the Incas?

+

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is 07 Day Andean Experience Through the Living Culture of the Incas suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 17. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 168-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book 07 Day Andean Experience Through the Living Culture of the Incas?

+

Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 168-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does 07 Day Andean Experience Through the Living Culture of the Incas start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cusco within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cusco?

+

On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cusco?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cusco?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
